And Lo our Savior Brock proclaimed that for the right price and fun he would not abandon and taketh he the title into WM 31 to suplex the fuck out of Roman Reigns he hath proclaimed it and thus it became gospel.

AMEN.

Same here

Maybe they let Lesnar win and then go on to break CM Punk's record because they don't want CM Punk to have the "longest reigning champion of the modern era" claim anymore.

Asmo 03-24-2015 11:31 PM

Awesome news to begin the day with! Lesnar is a special attraction, and having the title on him legitimises it in a way that hasn't been done in a REALLY long time.

Really intrigued by what's going to happen at Mania. With The Rock harping on about facing Brock, maybe we see a run-in to help his baby cousin? Maybe Rollins cashes in? Maybe Reigns wins clean?

Or, maybe, Lesnar decimates Reigns. And remains the reigning, and defending WWE World Heavyweight Champion. All bow down to the beast, the conqueror, BROCK LESNAR.

This thread is now about the greatest moments of our Lord and Savior of the Suplex.

I know Lesnar is heel in kayfabe, but if he won, would people really boo? Fans are still pretty behind Lesnar cuz he's a destruction machine. I don't think Reigns has to win cuz Mania has to end on a high note. He wins cuz Vince is stubborn.

I think that the open air stadium will really work in their favor if there's a backlash to Reigns winning. Most of the boos will probably escape.

Disturbed316 03-25-2015 12:11 AM

Great news.

It will be interesting to see how Mania will now finish.

This has gotten a ton of coverage. I was just on google news and it came up as one of the top sports stories. Its weird to see WWE mentioned in the sports section like any other league.

It will happen if ratings continue to drop.

road doggy dogg 03-25-2015 08:51 AM

So did he sign a normal contract, or this limited-appearance crap again? If he's back full-time that'd be super rad

JimmyMess 03-25-2015 08:52 AM

I assume same as before. He mentioned in the interview about getting full time pay for limited schedule.

road doggy dogg 03-25-2015 08:54 AM

hm. Oh well, it seems to be working out well enough

Can't wait to see Summerslam 2.0 when he absolutely squashes Reigns now

Clerk 03-25-2015 08:57 AM

It's sucks cuz I want him in ufc not wwe

Clerk 03-25-2015 08:58 AM

3 hours for raw is good for me. Branching out time for new superstars, divas etc. and for promos/ main events. Use your heads

Doubtful. The ad revenue generated > 3rd hour ratings in their books. Even though they have dropped, they continue to be one of the higher rated shows on USA.

Ruien 03-25-2015 09:38 AM

Can't imagine anything beats Raw on a weekly basis for USA. I imagine the same would be said if they dropped another .5 or even 1.0.

road doggy dogg 03-25-2015 09:41 AM

It doesn't help that the actual good original programming they have is mired in god-awful scheduling. How does Suits always have 6 episode "half-seasons" ? Fucking awful.

That is a trend I have noticed the past few years with hit originals. Things like The Walking Dead, Burn Notice (when it was still on), Agents of Shield and whatever other shows are out there, don't really watch much TV. They vary in length, but the mid-season bullshit is bullshit.

Volare 03-25-2015 10:04 AM

So I wonder what the crowd reaction will be now since he's locked in.

drave 03-25-2015 10:15 AM

They will still boo the piss outta Reigns.

The hatred for Reigns being shoved down throats + Lesnar being a wrecking machine > any positive reaction Reigns can muster at this poi(n)t.

Narf.

drave 03-25-2015 10:18 AM

Case in point:

They even fucking boo'd The Rock when he came out to "save" Reigns. The Rock's facial expression said it all.

Ruien 03-25-2015 11:19 AM

I remember Rock being cheered until he went to raise Reign's hand.

And the rest of the Universe will remember the last image they saw, which was The Rock supporting the man they dislike. Guilty by association.

Ruien 03-25-2015 01:17 PM

Imagine how much of a pop would have Rock received if he came in and gave a Rock Bottom to Reigns. Would have been massive.

dronepool 03-25-2015 01:41 PM

How many days until Brock breaks CM Punk streak? Does it match up with any PPV?

Damian Rey 03-25-2015 01:43 PM

Think it's around Summer Slam or NOC.

215 days from today.

To tie October 26, 2015, and 27th to win.

Hell in a Cell will be the 25th. The last day before tying Punk if he keeps it that long.

Isn't Punks birthday around that time? I heard that somewhere.

#1-norm-fan 03-25-2015 06:38 PM

Yeah, Punk's birthday is the 26th.

So he can claim WWE planned all along to try to ruin his birthday.

Simple Fan 03-25-2015 06:59 PM

Irony. Lol

CSL 03-25-2015 08:00 PM

Lance Storm picking Rollins to cash in during the title match instead of after. I don't mind the Rollins idea but it seems more of a "night after Mania" thing instead of during the Mania main event. They like their grandiose endings, I can see Reigns having "slayed the beast", the confetti, the rah rah etc, I can see Lesnar also surrounded in confetti, "took to the limit but the most dominant athlete in history is still the man" etc, "Reigns' time will come" etc. I just don't see Rollins doing his sneaky heel schtick being the way they go off the air.

Damian Rey 03-25-2015 08:05 PM

I agree. It'd be an out of the box ending for a Mania, though it could make it pretty memorable.

CSL 03-25-2015 08:18 PM

oh for sure, who knows. That's the best part. The only thing that bugs me is that Brock/Reigns could have an 8 star match and tear the fucking place down but if Reigns goes over, there is still going to be a section of fucking space cadets that try and boo him out of the stadium. That stuff usually gets drowned out at Mania tho so it should be fine.

You mean he causes a DQ and then cashes in? You can't have two matches going on at the same time.

CSL 03-25-2015 08:58 PM

nah, just straight up inserts himself into the match during the match

Damian Rey 03-25-2015 09:50 PM

I.e. triple threat match. If they decide to finally cash in the mitb case at Mania, I'd rather it be after the match.

For CSL, even if it's a great match, is it that wrong that fans may want a Lesnar winner? If you're talking about a group of muties just trying to be cool I get it but if the majority of the house is pulling for Lesnar a Barrett barrage of boos may be a likely scenario.
