Definitely getting the shirt, grabbing one for the wife too probably.

Evil Vito 02-06-2012 03:56 PM

Got the shirt and the hat today. Whenever the DVD of the full playoff games comes out I'm gonna get that too.

Congrats Giants. I don't know how they did it after 2009, 2010 and majority of this season, but fair play to them. Amazing story.

Nark Order 02-06-2012 04:45 PM

I don't think saying the Giants were lucky this season really takes away from their Superbowl win. Seems like most Giants fans either deny it or take it as an insult. I would've taken some luck in that NFC Championship game and not even felt bad about it. The Giants did have lady luck on their side this season for sure.

Triple Naitch 02-06-2012 05:02 PM

Droford stat of the day: Eli Manning only has one less Super Bowl ring than Tom Brady.

RaginRonic 02-06-2012 05:05 PM

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...illion-viewers

Super Bowl XLVI was the most-watched television program in American history.

Sunday night’s game averaged 111.3 million viewers to break the record set by last year’s Super Bowl, which had 111.0 million viewers. Although the game’s overnight rating was very slightly down from last year, the total audience was slightly up from last year.

The 1983 M*A*S*H series finale had long stood as the only television show in American history to draw more than 100 million viewers, but all of the last three Super Bowls have topped M*A*S*H.

Sunday night’s audience steadily grew as it went on, with 117.7 million viewers for the final half hour of the game, when the Giants were marching down the field for their game-winning touchdown, followed by the Patriots’ last-gasp Hail Mary falling incomplete.

Cant believe people are blaming Brady for that Welker pass..totally catchable

Gonzo 02-06-2012 07:24 PM

I don't care what anyone says or thinks about Eli. It honestly makes no difference to me. If people don't want to consider him elite that's fine. I'll take him and the two Superbowl championships any day of the week. In fact I think typing this post has made me love the hate. Preach on haters. Preach on.

Crimson 02-06-2012 07:27 PM

Scary thing is, both teams should get better next year

Gonzo 02-06-2012 08:57 PM

The Giants have a bunch of guys that are at the end of their contract. I think a good portion of them will be packing their bags. Vito said in the offseason thread that he thinks there is going to be a bunch of FA departures like after the 2007 season and I have to agree. Next year will depend heavily on how well the Giants draft this year.

Of course they had some luck at times...most teams do throughout the course of the season. But Pats fans simply aren't willing to give any credit to the team and feel that EVERYTHING they did was lucky. Guess they can't handle the fact that Eli put together a perfect game-winning drive against them yet again.

The Giants won and, until next season starts, they are the best team in football.

Evil Vito 02-06-2012 09:15 PM

Also another hilarious thing the Pats fans are bitching about. Steve DeOssie (former Giant, dad of Giants long snapper Zak DeOssie) does a lot of TV work for the Boston sports networks. He was seen at a Giants pre-SB rally last night talking about how the Giants were going to win and kick the Pats' asses, etc. while wearing his son's jersey.

They're all calling for him to be fired. For an area that's won 7 titles in the recent past they do seem to be an angry bunch.

I'll go ahead and bite and say that Eli gets to 3 before Brady gets to 4.

McLegend 02-08-2012 12:11 PM

I have a feeling that Kurt Warner doesn't like Eli Manning.

McLegend 02-08-2012 12:13 PM

I am going to put that last post in the new NFL thread.

The Fraze 02-09-2012 03:27 AM

This whole "Bradying" thing is laughable. The guy's got 3 Super Bowl rings. What's Tebow got? I mean, besides Jesus?

Congrats to Eli and the Giants, however.

FearedSanctity 02-09-2012 04:10 AM

Brady's also got 10 seasons on Tebow. Don't really get your comparison. Only similarity is that Bradying and Tebowing are both things

Brady had a Super Bowl ring the first season he became a starter.

FearedSanctity 02-09-2012 01:09 PM

2011 Broncos ≠ 2001 Patriots.

And Tebow doesn't even have a season where he's started all 16 games. Though we was able to come in with 11 games left and take a 1-4 team that seemed doomed to another 4-12 season as far as the divisional round. Not saying he's better or as even good, but attempting to compare the careers of a sure HOFer to a guy with 14 games total started is kinda ridiculous

The Fraze 02-09-2012 01:25 PM

The comparison is between Bradying and Tebowing. The fact that Brady has 3 Super Bowl rings in 5 trips is what makes the term and action laughable. The mention of Tebow is merely because Bradying is a spin off of Tebowing, which shouldn't even be a bandwagon because Tebow has nothing besides Jesus at this point in his career.

If it was "do the Brady" or just "the Brady," with a picture of someone sitting on the ground in defeat, I would have said the same thing with no mention of your boy Tebow.

Ps; Brady hadn't had a season where he started all 16 games when he won a ring, either. ;)

I'm not even a Patriots fan.

FearedSanctity 02-09-2012 01:40 PM

Pretty sure you're taking it too seriously bro. How good he is has nothing to do with it. Someone took a picture, it looked funny, people mock it. It's pretty simple. And Tebow has a bandwagon because of what he did in college, not just the in NFL. 2 national championships and a Heisman aren't something to just ignore once he hits the Combine.

PS. Again, 2011 Broncos ≠ 2001 Patriots ;)

Just stirring the pot. It isn't everyday in the "real world" that I have access to a dedicated group of Denver Broncos fans to poke and prod at.

I actually think that the Bradying thing is pretty fucking hilarious. Just sulking in a gigantic heap of despair and defeat. Reminds me of myself after sex.
