Part of the lawsuit involving Activision and the former bosses of Infinity Ward was settled today as Activision settles the part of the lawsuit involving EA.

EA was brought into the lawsuit after it was discovered they were actively trying to get the former bosses and employees to break away from Infinity Ward after the release of Modern Warfare 2. The main issue involved unpaid bonus money and trying to gain rights of the franchise away from Activision.

Quote:
Electronic Arts was implicated after it was discovered Infinity Ward leadership Jason West and Vince Zampella had met with the publisher prior to leaving Activision and Infinity Ward. Soon after their termination, West and Zampella formed Respawn Entertainment and signed a deal with EA for a still unannounced shooter.
The terms of the settlement were not revealed while the remaining lawsuit against the former bosses is still scheduled to occur once the court hears the case on May 29.
