Ubisoft announces Beyond Good & Evil 2 will be getting a release but not on current consoles.

The creator of the Rayman series, Michel Ancel, confirms he's in charge of the project and is currently in development again.

The game will be taking some inspiration from Mirror's Edge in regards to camera and movement system but current consoles do not have enough power nor tech to make it work the way Ubisoft wants. The goal is to make it feel very life-like and as if the action was occurring live.

Quote:
“We are in an active creation stage and at this moment we are only focusing on the game and making it the best game that we can... I can say that it’s a very ambitious game and we need some tech to achieve that ambition. We focus on the game. We create it first, then we’ll see what can run it.”
Ubisoft also teased there won't be any news about the game for this year's E3 due to the company being focused on Rayman Legends and Assassin's Creed 3 as their current top priority.
