Namco's main experience with making fighters is with the 3D type considering Tekken, Soul Calibur, and DBZ either are 3D fighters or mixes it up between planes.

Smash has its unique 2D style but it would be interesting if the next Smash takes or borrows any type of influence from Namco's experience. Nintendo's past experience with letting other companies work on their games usually ends up having some influence by that company on the game produced.
