You're right, wouldn't have been. But they are, so what could've or should've been means nothing. Their shot at the playoffs is as real as the Eagles' shot, it's possible, but come the fuck on. Their shot is the Wildcard, because even if Denver, Oakland and SD all finish 8-8, Denver owns the tiebreaker. Basically their "hopes" require Oakland, New York, Kansas City, Tennessee and Cincinnati to ALL lose out. Not gonna happen
wtf does meaningful games in December have to do with how SF played Monday? SF and PIT were playing for the exact same shit, a top seed and a first round bye. Motivation for either side isn't a question. And just because they've played like "crap" recently doesn't make them a bad team.
