The Wii is a Gamecube with motion controls. Most of the stuff for it is shovelware crap. However, there are some
fantastic games for it. The system has sold more than 360 and more than PS3. Both of those consoles are several times more powerful than the Wii.
It's stands to reason that a Wii with PS3 levels of power and a multifunctional controller could be used for so much more than the Wii already is, and would sell quite well as it would allow for more hardcore gamer type games while still catering to that massive casual market they've cornered.
