This is very true. I often think about this. People still seem to latch onto how fake it is as an argument. Do you think hold some sort of cultural grudge over being lied to? Is the presentation anachronistic and too testosterone-driven to be deemed as tasteful in today's day and age?

Trends aren't always logical. Dominant entertainment companies seem to be the ones that respond best to them or find ways to dictate what the trend is going to be. There may not be a logical explanation as to why Game of Thrones is cool but professional wrestling isn't, but you can't argue against the perception. It's how things are.
