Nah I personally didn't think they'd name a boss. But considering all of the hype leading into the finale was "see who will be named the new boss!" it felt like somewhat of a bait and switch.
Pretty sure the writers haven't decided who it's gonna be yet either. My money's still on an internal candidate. Though if it winds up being somebody from the outside I'm sure the news will leak well in advance.
Really good finale overall though. Happy Creed finally got an episode in as manager, easily one of the best characters on the show. Spader was brilliant. Gabe being a total douche during interviews and Darryl's inability to create a proper resume were also high points. "Where did the paperclip guy go? I think he was named......Clippy."
