I don't think the issue will be the strength of the leg. I think the issue will be his confidence, firstly, in throwing kicks etc.., but more importantly, Weidman caught him for really the first time in his career, will he have the same confidence in his abilities again?
Long-term, if he were to come back and get back to the top again, it would cement his legacy as the best pound for pound fighter of all time. It would probably do more for his legacy long term than staying undefeated as champion and having people question the quality of his opponents
