Look, I can understand the hiring of Matt. It didn't excite me, as it just didn't fit TNA's plans early this year. Jeff Hardy was playing a mega-heel, and it made no sense for Matt to come in and hate his brother -- or if he did, then it wouldn't have made sense to boot out Anderson and Morgan from top face spots in place of Matt.

TNA could have given Hardy time to get into shape (which probably wouldn't have happened), and followed the Jeff Hardy stuff through to its ends, and then perhaps have Matt come and "fight for Jeff's soul," or whatever. Matt was just a vanity hiring, though, and really did nothing to help the company, but cost them some money and took up a valuable roster spot.
