I hate to discount plays because it's a very ingenuous way of looking at a game, but damn. If you take away the 78 yard TD run by Peterson:

Ponder
18-28 for 236 yards, 1TD 3INT

Peterson
17 carries for 15 yards and a TD (4-18-1 in the passing game as well)

Jerome Simpson, who I don't think ANYBODY was gameplanning for, had the big receiving game (7-140) but otherwise nobody on the Vikings did a ton of damage. Next best receiver was Jennings with 3-33.

People have been touting the Vikings as one of the "risers" in the NFC so to get an impressive week 1 victory over them is mad good feeling. Especially after going 0-6 in the division last year. Chicago doesn't look terribly impressive and GB's defense is suspect. Obviously not "counting them out" but it's not like they're insurmountable foes or anything. If Lions can even go a solid 3-3 in the division this year, combined with the 4th-place SoS games (@ARI and TB), maybe my 6-10 prediction was a bit conservative. I still think absolute best-case scenario is 9-7 though, but again I'd love to be wrong.
