I hope you're talking about Terrell Davis. After his 2000 yard season he only had about 1400 yards total in the next 3 seasons, primarily because he was injured. Jamal at least came back and had 4 1,000 yard seasons out of the next 6 years he played.

If you'll remember, Jamal Lewis ran for a then record 295 yards that year, and 500 total vs Cleveland in both games.
Was that season a brady anderson-esque fluke? Probably..but for one season he was one of the best in football and a lousy 40 yards short of the all time record.
