Because that's part of the selling point of the MITB match. Plus the spots... which in this case would rely solely on Jericho. And even then, he's not gonna be doing anything too crazy at this point in his career.

I guess it would be fine as long as they go traditional with the Smackdown MITB and go 8. Though I prefer some continuity in rules.

It would be like if they lowered the Royal Rumble to 15 guys and only had main eventers participate. It would just take a lot of the fun out of it.

I think I'd rather have a fun hectic clusterfuck than being forced to just focus on Show and Cena and Kane in a ladder match anyway.
