It’s 10 pm. I’ve been working on pyroandballyhoo.com for the last 12 hours. I have a splitting headache. I hate my computer right now–-HATE IT. I’m dying to just crash on my coach and watch “Sunny” until I can’t keep my eyes open any more. That’s all I want–-simple–-not asking much. But, I can’t, because I’m here again—pyroandballyhoo.com. Why? This is an issue that can’t wait until the morning–-it has to be said NOW! So, I’m going to ignore the headache, and Mack is going to have to wait. At least until AFTER I unload here.

I swear, I actually think this poor slob has replaced ME as the most hated man on the World-Wide Interweb!!! The guy wins “Money in the Bank” tonight, and I had to get up from my office chair, and actually look out the window, because I thought for a minute–-THAT THE GD APES WERE REALLY TAKING OVER THE EARTH!!! Come on, is everybody serious?!!! For starters–-is Cena himself writing this? Is he the head booker now? No, he is simply “going to work”, like we all do, and he is winning a match because that’s what the boss is TELLING him to do. Simple. But yet–we hate HIM for it. That’s like hating a fireman for putting out a fire. It’s absolutely ridiculous.

Roman Reigns PIC2So who’s to blame? The answer is simple–-NO ONE. For the last 10 years John Cena has been the most dependable superstar on the WWE roster–-why–-because he’s the best at what he does. The WWE brass can rely on him to carry their banner with class, dignity, respect and responsibility. Hate to be cute here, but Cena has proven time and time again that HE is indeed “Money in the Bank”. Now, maybe the argument is that many fans feel that Cena has run “his course”, and they are entitled to feel that way, however, here are the facts. The WWE has three superstars in the making right now, maybe four–-of course my boy Bray, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and I’ll throw Ziggler in there because I like him, and he “conquered” Amy Schumer.

Now, while that is great news for the FUTURE of the WWE, the bad news for its fans is–-none of them are quite ready right now. All of these guys, with the exception of Zigler, are in their mid-to-late twenties, and regardless of how good they are, the reality is that they still have a lot to learn! If they’re all “good” now, you know that they will all get “great” with time! However, until that time comes, the WWE needs to put it all on somebody they can rely on, and that’s JOHN CENA, especially taking into consideration that Daniel Bryan is injured.johncena3So what, Cena gets all the heat because he’s reliable, because he’s a pro, because the WWE bras can count on him while they’re building the future of their company? He gets the heat for that? That notion is insane! You know how many top companies in the world today would kill for an employee like John Cena?!!!

This, is where the internet and its fans sometimes fail to look at the wrestling business as a BUSINESS. Because, at the end of the day–-that’s what it is. All Champions who ever wore a belt had to be “built” first, no matter who they were. And, as they were in the process of becoming “superstars”, others had to be the place holders until they would finally “arrive”. It was no different when John Cena was up and coming.

So please, don’t blame Cena for allowing the Wyatts, the Reigns, the Ambroses and the Zigglers of the world to hone their skills to the point of being able to DRAW MONEY to the extent that John Cena did . . . and still does!
