i'm thinking season 4 starts with desmond looking off camera, and he's just had one of his future visions - what we saw - and so events go from that.
There's no way they'd show a fixed ending at the half way point. Not that it matters, most of us will forget this scene by series 5!
I thought the coffin would be for julliet, since jack was really upset and he only cared for her and kate... till i saw the newspaper clipping - has to be locke, since he'd drop his father's surname now he's dead, and the show bosses seem to be building him up, especially since he can hear jacob
Since most of the other's shooters are dead, naomi's people must be the new bad guys
The black mist that killed eko and brought down the plain, i think that's jacob
