I'm all for these guys getting as much money and as many perks as they can. Throw the book at them for prostitutes, drugs, gambling and the like but to hell with the NCAA when it comes to them receiving money, gifts and so forth. I mean, this is a whole new level and is a pretty huge yet not surprising story but when they go after some kid that sold his own game worn jersey for not much money and so forth, it's hard to have any kind of respect for them or their ridiculous rules.
NCAA will probably hit Miami U football with at least an USC style punishment but at the same time it won't be anything that could potentially ruin a big-name school. The BCS basically controls college football and the NCAA is too smart to hurt a money maker even if Miami is still developing back to top status.

Auburn didn't get any punishments from the Cam Newton scandal and even had the NCAA bend its wording on rules to keep him eligible for both the SEC and BSC title game to ensure the NCAA got max bowl and ad money possible. Auburn originally suspended him for the SEC title game until the NCAA overruled it.

Basketball-wise, the team is going to be heavily punished because the Tournament is controlled by the NCAA and the team is barely mid-range in its own conference.
