My guess is if the child died they would get somewhere between a negligent homicide or a manslaughter charge, based on a very, very quick glance of Arizona law. Now if they could prove he was intoxicated, that could change. At least I"m assuming, I know in Ohio it would.
What he does afterwards, running, grabbing the cash, etc, realistically does not affect the charge. The only thing that really would matter is his own criminal negligence (neg homicide) or recklessness (manslaughter) in causing the act that caused the termination
