Potential for the discussions involving the new CBA to get ugly soon since the owners laid down the hammer in their first proposal.
Some of the demands include:
* 19% decrease in the player's side of revenue sharing which drops their overall amount from the current 57% to the proposed 46% for the players-owners split.
* Contracts no longer than 5 years anymore.
* Players must earn 10 years of career time before they can apply for unrestricted free agent status regardless of their age.
* No more signing bonuses
* No more scaled yearly salaries where the back-end is more wealthy than the front-end.
Union already said they will be willing to play into part of next season without a CBA while the owners made no guarantees.
