I know they have shot down the whole "they are all dead and in Purgatory or hell" storyline tons of times on the podcast and in interviews....but you know its not like they are gonna come out during the middle of seaon 2 and tell you the biggest shocker of the whole show. That would cause people to stop watching.
My guess is that they have decided to go down that line....perhaps they just didnt know where to go at a certain point and they just said..,"what the hell?"
