Avengers: Age of Ultron
Marvel Studios presents “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure. This is the finale of Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 2 which includes Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: The Dark World, Iron Man 3, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D (TV). Very interesting. I wonder if Thanos is the Guardians of the Galaxy villain then, and has nothing to do with Avengers 2.

Yondu is the villain in Guardians of the Galaxy, though it's possible Benicio Del Toro's 'The Collector' is as well, as he's booked for several Marvel films.

I'm thinking Thanos will be the villain of Avengers 3, which RDJ is already signed, and it also being the big finale of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and reboots come about.

I like that idea. Very difficult to top Thanos as a threat, so it's good that they're saving him for the finale. I imagine he'll still play a part in age of ultron, albeit behind the curtain.
In other news, ffffcffffffffffuck yeah ultrooooooooooon |

BONER ALERT!!!!!
I agree with the idea of Thanos being THE villian to wrap up the universe. Wondering when they'll begin to introduce Ultron/Hank Pyme. |

As long as it's not actually an adaptation of Age of Ultron.

I kinda doubt it. Those alternate reality hijinks really only work because of the long running "ultron will eventually win" inevitability.

Cool, but I'll save the excitement oh my gods and satans for the trailer. It should be good, though. Out of phase 2 Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: The Winter Soldier have my enthusiasm so far.

If they introduce Hank Pym in Avengers in some way, it does nothing but boost ticket sales for the relatively low-profile Ant-Man movie.
Of course, they could just have Ultron have nothing to do with Hank Pym at all. |

More than likely Ultron will be tied to Stark in this universe, may have something to do with JARVIS as well.

Well, Whedon says the story is nothing to do with the Age of Ultron comic series, and that Hank Pym is definitely not in the movie and not involved in Ultron's origin. |

Wouldn't be surprised if Thanos has a shadowy hand in giving ultron it's sentience.

With Iron Man 3 showing more and more automation in Starks suits, I wouldnt be surprised to have this be some kind of Uber Ironman suit that is taken over and powered by Thanos and the Avengers have to stop.

With the way Iron Man 3 ended, having Ultron come about as a result of maybe someone gathering all the Iron Man suit debris, it would be a good way to bring Tony back into the hero game.

We kinda alluded to that, yes. Would be interesting, as JARVIS seemed more human as the MCU went on. I liked his flustered tone in IM3, for instance.

I like Hank Pym, but I like the Idea of Stark inventing ultron better. That way they don't have dedicate a portion of the movie introducing a new character that most people won't give a shit about anyway.

Hank Pym is one of the best Marvel characters if done correctly, and probably the worst if done incorrectly.
I may or may not expand on this some time later when it's not 1:07 in the morning. Last edited by Miotch; 07-23-2013 at 04:07 AM. Reason: ...also 'the worst' is probably hyperbole. |

Hank Pym blows, and would be shit in the Avengers movie. Plus the general masses would laugh at the name Ant Man

I have a distinct dislike for 'Giant-Man'. Yellow Jacket has mass market appeal, I think.
