1. USC
Strengths: VERY deep and loaded on all sides of the ball. Weaknesses: Losing Dwayne Jarrett and Steve Smith means new WR's have to step up (which they will) 2. Michigan Strengths: The Big Three are all back (Henne, Hart, Manningham) great OL Weaknesses: Lost a lot of guys on defense to the NFL so it will inexpirenced 3. LSU Strengths: Might have the Nations best defense Weaknesses: QB Matt Flynn has been a backup for several years and has big shoes to fill replacing Jamarcus Russell 4. West Virginia Strengths: 2 Deadly Heisman Contenders Pat White and Steve Slaton Weaknesses The defense gives up a lot of points 5. Louisville Strengths: My Heisman Winner (QB Brian Brohm) Great WRs and RBs Weaknesses: Lost sev key defensive players, defense is unproven and a New Head Coach they have 6. Florida Strengths: Tebow is finally full time starter, lots of great young talent, great recruiting class Weaknesses: lost a lot of defensive guys to the NFL like Michigan 7. UCLA Strengths: Great momentum heading into season, return many key players Weaknesses: QB battle has emerged between veteran starter Ben Olsen and Pat Cowan 8. Wisconsin Strengths: Return many key players back Weaknesses: lost Joe Thomas at OL, havent named a starting QB yet 9. Virginia Tech Strengths: Great LB and CB crew, Brandon Ore is the best RB that the nation dont know about, the casual fans will be rooting for them Weaknesses: Might be out of the title picture early with a Giant road game at LSU 10. Texas Strengths: Limas Sweed the best WR in the country in my opinion, McCoy should be better Weaknesses: With all the talent the secondary they were 99th in Pass Def now that their 3 best pass defenders are gone to the NFL the Pass Def might be one of the worst in the country 11. Oklahoma Strengths: Great defense, Allen Patrick did well in AP's absence last year, have a great RB coming in as well thats compared to Reggie Bush Weaknesses: No expirence at QB 12. Auburn Strengths: Great Defense, Cox is a veteran QB Weaknesses: Lost Irons at RB 13. Rutgers Strengths: Many players return including Ray Rice, great recruiting class Weaknesses: Lost leader Brian Leonard 14. Ohio State Strengths: Lots of key guys on defense are back, RB Chris Wells might be better than Pittman Weaknesses: lots of youth and inexpirence on the offensive side of the ball 15. Arkansas Strengths: RUN-DMC is the best RB in the country, great offense. Weaknesses: many top players from last season either went to the NFL or trnasferred |

Michigan SHOULD do work this season, I mean look at all the talent they have coming back. They lost their best corner, but he got burned against all the top guys anyway so they should be able to replace him. Losing Woodley is gonna hurt them though, as well as Branch. It is Michigan though, I am sure they will reload.
Florida's offense should be fine, only thing is who is gonna be the sparkplug off the bench now that Tebow is running the show? Hopefully Tebow gets his shit kicked in though because he was homeschooled and I think home schooling is the most retard thing on the face of the Earth lol I dunno how their D will be, I assuming it will be reoaded but they did lose a lot. I don't see them winning the SEC again tho |

I am going to rank Confrences as well. The first is the SEC, which looks WIDE open and its the deepest its ever in. As several anylists have said, there is 10 out of the 12 teams in this league could make the SEC Title game. The sad part is only 8 teams of the 12 get bowl bids
My SEC Preseason Rankings 1. LSU 2. Florida 3. Auburn 4. Arkansas 5. Tenn 6. UGA 7. South Carolina 8. Kentucky 9. Alabama 10. Ole Miss 11. Vandy 12. Miss St. |

I am most familiar with the Big 12 and overall I like your picks. Oklahoma and Texas are going to be the best two teams again but right now it's hard to say which one is the best. Oklahoma State has some awesome offensive players coming back and Missouri should easily have a top-5 national offense this year, but both are prone to slip ups. Barring a breakdown they could easily be in those positions though. OSU might have a harder time being third, since it will play head to head with Texas and Oklahoma, but while MU has Nebraska at home, they also have Oklahoma in Norman and Texas A&M at home, but a 9-3 season or even 10-2 is very possible.

What is everybodys take on Notre Dame this season? I see them as a 9-4 8-5 type of year as they lost lots of players and no way should Darius Walker have went pro. Klausen could be something special for ND and he has a lot of hype but he might not start early on.

They got a lot of key personal back, for the first time since Bucknell they have a good coach (yes, I know what O'brien did for the school and how everyone loved coughlin) Also, the new strength coach is from Auburn, his nick name there was Satin and he's already told the players he doesn't care if they hate him. Right now, they're just doing strength and conditioning and he's really pushing them. Now, yes there is a chance it could case them to wear out early, I disagree, typically the teams in this great shape win the close games at the end of the season, something BC has always had trouble with. Going to be a fun home season... Florida State, Miami, NC State. Plus I think next year or the year after they start up with Notre Dame again and they have a pending deal for like 2010 and 2011 with USC. |

Winner of the Red River Shootout could lose in the national championship, but I don't see either team winning it.

1) is O'brien would have a brain fart and forget to look at the clock late in the game and blow a game they should win. 2) BC fans don't "travel well" this is why 2yrs ago BC had a better record then Clemson but Clemson got a better bowl game. Clemson fans travel huge and spend a lot of money, BC fans simply don't. For BC to have a shot at a big time bowl it's the ACC championship, otherwise they'll be at some little bowl we've never heard of, no matter how good they do. |

It looked like he was turning Indiana around as last season they had a big win over Iowa and a impressive blowout over Mich St. that made them fire John L. Smith. a friend of mine thats a trainer at IU told me Coach Hep was an incredible person and that she thinks hes changed IU fb for the better.

He was amazing. So sad that he died. He's really turn this IU program face up and headed in the right direction. He's recruited some really good players this year. I really think this team is gunna make a bowl game this season and alot has to do with coach hoeppner |

Yeah I believe so RP because the only time UK played IU under Coach Hep he destroyed us. Indiana is def a sleeper team in the Big Ten considering their best players are young and they have a lot of motavation now. I see them possibly making a bowl and def pulling off an upset or 2.

SEC is gonna be sick this year..
LSU and Arkansas are already in the top five in the coaches polls.. Bama should be good with Saban.. Urban Myers is a great coach and weill def take Florida back to a bowl game.. Soth Carolina should be good with Spurrier.. Kenntucky is supposedly gonna be decent this year.. SEC>* |
