Bis ping has been very exciting at 185. Leben is usually willing to bang, so it sounds like a good fight to me. I think Bisping is definately a top 20 guy right now, and he's just getting started at 185. Not sure how he will fare against the elite guys at that weight, but the fight is intriguing to me.
Rest of the card looks solid as well, especially considering its free. |

Elite XC Saturday Night Fights 2
Some pretty decent fights.. I flipped back and forth between it and the UFC Penn vs Sherk PPV.. Lawler/Smith was def the fight of the night.. Vicious body shots and then knees from Lawler.. Diaz looked methodical in his striking.. What was up with that one guys total neck beard.. Weird.. Also, Gina was SMOKING FUCKING HOTTTTTTT in her interview.. This show was much better than their first IMO.. Did anyone watch the replay of UFC 84 Penn vs Sherk last night?? It was really sweet how UFC recut the footage and added in the behind the scenes shit pre and post fights.. I hope they consider doing this for every PPV say three weeks after they happen.. So like, they could air the recut PPV a week before the next PPV.. |

Due to a discussion about the UFC Lightweight Title and then some research, I found out that it has never changed hands due to a challenger beating a champion.. It's always been vacated.. With Penn beating Sherk, it's the first time since Jens Pulver that there's been an undisputed LW Champ..
Just thought that was weird.. |

That the light Weight Title has never changed hands by a challenger beating a champion.. Which would be the standard way, no??

Wait I think i see what ur saying... Technically it still hasnt been taken away from a champion yet. The belt was vacated again when BJ won it and Sherk was not any type of champion when he fought BJ, so he was only a challenger.

Yeah..
Every time that title has changed hands, it's been vacated.. A challenger has never "beaten" a champion.. Just found that weird.. |

Been chatting to him from about the week after Owen Hart died.
Definitely going Vegas next May and I know Fritz is going. Hopefully Dickerman and Vito too. I'm not on the BTR board now but they were cool as fuck on that when it was the old board too. And the Properly Promoted board. Loose Cannon and Cynick have both posted there too. |

Tito Ortiz looks like he is signing with Affliction then.
James Irvin failed a drug test for methadone and oxymorphone. Is he a heroin junkie or something? Justin Levens failed for Oxymorphone. The cut-off line is 120 ng/mL. He tested at 10,141 ng/mL. |

Fedor has been the one saying it... he wants time to train for his NYE fight in dream that will probably take place against CroCop and he wouldnt have te time if the Affliction fight were in Novemer.

So basically Fedor V Arvloski depends on Fedor V Crop Cop, and Tito V Babalu is probably gonna happen.

No... Fedor and Arlovski depends on if Fedor can get cleared and all parties can get a good contract. Fedor just wants an earlier fight than november because he has a NYE fight in DREAM
