Options
This is the main menu! Here you can find these six areas.
Today, I’m going to introduce Options. All options are coloured purple. Deflicker Choose between graphics that are razor sharp or nice and smooth. This is... Well, it’s sort of hard to explain using only static shots, but try toggling it on and off on your own TV. Play with the setting that fits your taste. Rumble Set rumble separately for Gamecube Controllers and Wii Remotes. Toggle the proverbial buzz-buzz on your controllers on and off. Just remember, the Classic Controller doesn’t have rumble, so don’t get too carried away. You can also set rumble preferences for each logged name. Sound The slider goes left and right. You can use this to adjust the balance between the game’s music and sound effects. Oh, a sound test is also available from the first time you power the game on! Flip through by title or category. There’s quite a few songs available, so I’ve decided to also divide things up by category this time. You mean I can listen to sound effects from my favourite character as much as I want? Erase Data This is by far the most dangerous of the option modes. Yeaaah... Don’t fiddle around with these options. I mean it now. Don’t mess around on this screen. No, seriously. I’m not playing here. And that’s not all. Screen Controls My Music For more about these three, you can go over and check out their individual pages. Each of these modes is designed to let you tweak the game to match your own preferences, but obviously you don’t have to mess around with these options if you don’t feel like it. Relax and enjoy. |

Well, their update schedule is being fucked up by delays. BTW, I have to wonder about how much stuff is actually hidden in this game. I mean, they've shown us just about everything at this point, right down to the options.

Obviously there are going to be hidden shits, but just how much ish other than hidden characters will be left to be discovered before the game is out?

Mario Circuit
The Mario Circuit stage appears! Of course, we HAVE shown it briefly in past movies...
This popular series makes an impressive debut. It’s a figure-of-eight course, and you do battle at the crossing of the 8. There are even grandstands in places you can’t see! It hurts when the karts racing around the track hit you. They come in from the side and from the back of the screen, so be careful. When they come from the back, and you are on the lower level, look out. When they come from the side, and you are on the upper level, look out. The karts are serious about their race. You can get a general idea of their location on the screen at the back, so pay attention to it. You can actually make them wipe out, too. |

The successor of the F-Zero X tracks? Nice.
Hopefully they keep those ones tho. They were the shit. |

I know, but I like them both. Mute city was great because the stage kept changing.

Yeah. The Mario Kart stage makes a bit of a change from most of the stages in Brawl which seem to change a lot.

If they can fit it all, I'd like every stage to return.

I'd normally think that wanting all the previous stages in would be asking a lot but they seem to be crowbarring a lot into the game anyway so they would be as well putting most of the old stages back.

They managed to cram a crap load of stuff into the limited Gamecube mini discs, so why not now in a full blown disc?

Stafy
This character, the prince of the heavenly seas, appeared in the Japan-only release "Densetsu no Stafy". He’s shaped like a star, but maybe he’s really a starfish??? I’ll do it! I’m doing it! ...He never says anything like that. His body shines brightly. He boldly does a spin attack! But...he’s weak? He’s rare for an Assist Trophy, as he can be attacked. Sometimes you may wonder "Stafy, why did you even come here?!" – but that’s part of his charm. Owwwwwww! |

Waluigi
The fact that he’s an Assist Trophy means he won’t be appearing as a playable character, but... ...Waluigi appears nonetheless! He dashes at foes... He stomps on whoever he currently despises! Characters that suffer his stomping get embedded in the dirt. Waluigi keeps on stomping, punishing his foe persistently with successive blows. As should be expected from Waluigi. He finishes with a mighty kick... ...or his tennis racket! Never forget to finish off those who are helpless to resist. Such a philosophy should really be expected from Waluigi. |

According to IGN, Europe is getting a February release.
http://uk.wii.ign.com/objects/748/748545.html check the release date under the boxart. IGN is usually pretty reliable, right? |

Co-op Events
This time, Event matches can be played in two-player mode! Wow. This is a great game for couples.
When you press the Player 2 button here... The two-player Events begin! These are not battles – they’re co-operative play. So, you tackle the challenge of each Event together. There are fewer two-player Events than single-player ones, but they each have different settings than the single-player matches. Two Trouble Kings Characters: Mario, Kirby Battle togother against Bowser and King Dedede! This is a proper 2-on-2 match. Master the Pokémon Tag Battle Characters: Pokémon Trainer, Pikachu This features Squirtle, Ivysaur, Charizard, and one Pikachu. It’s a tag battle with pretty much equal teams! Fastest, Shortest, Sudden Death Characters: Yoshi, King Dedede See who can defeat the most enemies in just 10 seconds!! ALL MINE! Characters: Wario, Bowser C-could this be a Coin battle?! With lots of notes... That reminds me, there are Coin battles this time around, too. When you launch an opponent, you collect their money. The player with the most money at the end wins. The fact that it isn’t bloodthirsty is nice. Oh, and I forgot to mention earlier that you can play Target Smash!! with two players simultaneously as well! Oh! I see! Delegation of duties is important! |

Frigate Orpheon
This appears in Metroid Prime. It’s the first spaceship Samus infiltrates.
What you see in the background is the Parasite Queen. Th-the power went out?! For a spaceship that just causes trouble, it sure does have a lot of problems. But what really defines this stage is the way it rotates 180 degrees. The siren scream is a warning! Suddenly, it flips... ...and the terrain inverts! When the siren goes off, jump into the air to flee. But when you’re in a pinch, so is your opponent. Stall your opponent to take advantage! |

Team Healer
This item has absolutely no relevance for those who normally just play free-for-all brawls. But not knowing how to use the item would be problematic, so I’ll just explain it. You might be able to imagine what it is from its name... Before I get ahead of myself, I must explain that this game features a Team Battle mode. For example, this function allows people to break into teams of two and do battle when four people are playing. There are three team colours: red, green and blue. And the Team Healer has absolutely no function if you’re on your own. If you pick it up, you just hold it. It doesn’t do anything. But, if you throw it at your ally... ...your ally’s damage meter gets replenished! The higher your damage meter, the more you recover. But, if you don’t alert each other, you may not hit your team-mate. And occasionally, it may cause an opponent to recover damage instead... |

Kirby: Special Moves
The move that symbolises Kirby is none other than his standard special move, Inhale!
He’s able to copy an enemy’s ability (by which I mean, their standard special move) and use it as his own. When he inhales a foe and swallows... ...he copies his opponent’s ability! So... Which look belongs to which character? |
