I think current sports are great but why has civilization not made new sports?

One new sport I really liked growing up was handball. Why dont they make professional hand ball teams, maybe add rollerblades or something into it? Why arent humans making new sports?

One new sport I really liked growing up was handball. Why dont they make professional hand ball teams, maybe add rollerblades or something into it? Why arent humans making new sports?
