Article about Eli and Peyton. Obviously I'm biased, what do you guys think? Generally I've never cared for others opinions because I've always gotten behind Eli but I don't think there is any question he has played as well among the best this year. How do you guys, as fans of other teams, view him? |

I think Eli is terrific, would probably say he's right behind Brees/Rodgers/Brady as the best quarterbacks playing currently

Hear Ben Maller rip my tweet on national weekedend overnight sportstalk radio
The majority of the first segment is about "the legend" of the 2010 playoff game where Joe Flacco went 4 of 10 for 34 yards "leading" the Ravens to victory vs the Patriots. He reads my tweet at 12 minutes in.. |

He has literally carried the Giants to victories this year. There were injuries all over the offense. I guess you would have to watch the games week in and week out. |

And I can't speak specifically to each turnover but an elite QB doesn't turn it over nearly as much as he has the past 2 seasons. I think he's at like 50 turnovers in 2 seasons. That's insane.

This is probably the first season I've viewed Eli as a star player. Before that I thought he was a decent game manager who occasionally had flashes of brilliance, but also made some stupid throws that got picked off.
But I'm sold on him now. |

I don't even think Eli was that bad in the Seahawks game. They were on the verge of completing a game-winning drive but Cruz made one of his signature bothces and sent the ball right into the hands of the cornerback.
Frankly, Eli has shown me enough this year to convince me that he actually is an elite quarterback. There are only a few QB's I'd take ahead of him at this point...and when the game is on the line I have faith that he can drive it down the field for the win. Many in the media will probably never consider him to be elite even if he wins a 2nd SB ring, but whatever. |

all I know is, I want to see the Ravens win the Super Bowl in Indianapolis, have Raymond Berry, Baltimore Colts legend hand the Vince Lombardi Trophy to Steve Bisciotti, and have him put it on a Mayflower Truck and send it back to Baltimore in the Middle of the night in a snowstorm, a reverse of what happened 10,176 days earlier. Nothing else would be more appropriate, nothing else is acceptable (the Mayflower truck thing wont happen obviously, but still)

There would be a nice storyline about Baltimore winning a Superbowl in Indianapolis.
Would be. |

No doubt Eli is an elite QB in the NFL of today though. Kind of hard to take him seriously when he wears that retard helmet, but I guess I just convince myself that he's a savant.
To me he has always looked like somebody cloned Peyton Manning but something went slightly wrong that nobody can put their finger on. |

Oh, and I'll just keep re-interating 50 turnovers in 2 seasons every time someone mentions Eli as an "elite QB" until someone actually explains how these two things go hand in hand.

I'll assume that Narc is just keeping his bases covered so that in case SF loses he can say at least it was to an elite QB.

Maybe you need to go back and look at how people are saying he has improved himself this year and became an elite quarterback this year. Meaning your 30 turnovers last year don't mean shit.

Eli's interception numbers from last year were incredibly misleading. Anybody who watched him last year can attest to this. Many of his INT's happened because his receivers stonehanded the ball. Eli put the ball where it needed to go more often than not.

I'd say he's an elite QB just due to the fact that I consider him a threat at any time. If the Giants are down by 2-3 TDs, I'm still never completely sold that they are out of the game until the bitter end. Definitely a quality of an elite QB.

He's a Cowboys fan who can't quite stomach the fact that Eli Manning is better and more clutch than Tony Romo.
