'UnSuper Bowl' doesn't sit well with Ravens LB Ayanbadejo:
"Truth being told I am not sure I'm going to watch the unSuper Bowl since the two best teams are sitting at home #ravens #49ers," Droford in disguise. |

Seriously, this is going to be a great Super Bowl. Dunno how some people think it's a snooze.

I'd say the top story to look out for in either team's practice this week is what happens with Rob Gronkowski. He's obviously going to play...but when he re-entered the game yesterday after his injury he wasn't targeted once and he did little more than serve as a decoy. If he can be banged up enough to NOT be a mandatory double-team guy, that could be huge.
Can't help but find myself hoping that the Ellerbe curse has struck again. |

The Giants have a much better defense than the Pats currently have. I say it's probably going to be pretty close.

I think the Giants have the more balanced team. My main reason to be worried about the Patriots really just has to do with the fact that beating Brady and Belichick in the Super Bowl for the second time in such a short time frame just feels like something that's too good to be true irregardless of who's on the field. There is definitely a mystique about those guys and the fact that the burden of revenge is on them only makes it more troublesome. The Patriots are the only team in the AFC that would plant that doubt in my head.
Assuming Gronkowski is healthy (gotta figure he will be), I'd say both offenses are equally explosive. Offensive line play is going to be majorly important obviously - I feel like the Giants might have the edge there. They didn't play too well yesterday, but they won't be facing a defense as vicious as the 49ers either. I'm really not sure how much the running game is going to play a factor especially if it turns into a shootout early. Special teams I'd give the advantage to the Patriots - Weatherford and Mesko are both really good and field position is going to be huge. However I'd take Gostkowski over Tynes because he has a bigger leg and Tynes has had some playoff misses in the past. As far as the return game goes, the Giants have absolutely none. The Pats' might not be much to write home about but Woodhead is probably better than what the Giants have to offer. The defense is the big difference maker. As has been said ad nauseum, the Giants' pass rush is the key to the game. When Brady is rattled he is beatable. Both secondaries are exploitable but I still have more faith in the Giants making the key deflections over the Pats. |

No shit. We know he's beatable...we've seen it. But he's a difficult guy to bet against. 5 Super Bowl appearances in 11 years is pretty insane, to be fair. Like I said, I think the Giants are the better overall team but neither result in 2 weeks would surprise me.

All In. It became their slogan before the Jets game once it became clear that they needed to win their remaining games to win the division.
I do miss BALLIN' though. And I hope Strahan is invited to stand on the sidelines for the Super Bowl so he can advise the team to STOMP 'EM OUT! |

Raiders named Broncos DC Dennis Allen the favorite to be their next HC
If they hire him Denver would be on their 7th DC in 7 years. Last time the team had a DC for consecutive seasons was Larry Coyer 2002-2006 |

Think it's a pretty risky move by Oakland. Allen is coming off his first year as a coordinator and has never been a HC at any level. Also the much hyped Broncos defense finished the regular season 20th in yards per game and 24th in points allowed. So other than him being young and charismatic, can't say I really get it

Seems like teams are swing for the fences and hoping they find the NEXT BIG HEAD COACH.
Seriously, teams are hiring Coordinators with no head coaching experience, short terms at that level, non impressive resumes, and in Miamis case, a coordinator who didnt even call plays! |

The only reason Id want to root for the Giants is to be able to say the only team that ever beat the Giants in the Super Bowl was the Ravens.
