I dont think he works with SF. Smith doesnt have the arm to make it worth what it will costs to bring him in. He is an amazing deepo threat. But Alex Smith's arm strength is similar to Ryan Fitzpatrick...

Yeah, you know something is wrong when people would rather play football in Jacksonville than Miami.

Miami probably will lose out on him as well but I could see Tebow potentially going to the Dolphins if Denver gets rid of him.
They already have a Wildcat-like offense in place which would help him for the short term although the biggest drawback is everyone else in the division already broke Miami's Wildcat so it won't have a huge impact like it did last year for Denver. |

A hell of a few days for me. First Pettitte returns to the Yankees, and now the Broncos get Peyton Manning. Could it get any better?
Oh, and Mr. Tebow........... |

I still think The Broncos are the wrong team.
Cardinals and 49ers in that order were the best teams to go to. |

I hope that, years from now, we are able to look back at the woeful Broncos, and call this move as the worst in their history. And I want to call this the Teebow effect/curse/wrath upon Denver

Getting rid of an overrated, self-righteous, attention whore QB for one of the greatest regular season QB's of all time? Yeah I don't see how that could blow up in their face.

Free agency is stupid for the most part. Every once in a while you get a Drew Brees to New Orleans deal, or a situation like Terrell Owens/Randy Moss/Steve Hutchinson to Philadelphia/New England/Seattle where a team had everything thing else together, along perhaps with a few other subtle things, but what you usually end up with are the same over-hyped rosters. Peyton Manning to Denver could be a game changer (ie Denver losing in the AFC Championship game), but I doubt Buffalo, for example, is really that much better off with Mario Williams. More often than not it's downhill once a player goes to a new team, especially if they're veterans that have been in the league a few years. It mostly affects the teams that lose players, or makes a mediocre team slightly above average because they signed Matt Schaub.
Kicker/punter/special teams tends to be the exception I guess, although even that is hit or miss. Last edited by DrA; 03-20-2012 at 08:14 AM. |

He's okay, but nothing special. He had a very solid rookie year but his production tailed after that - in fact he downright sucked for a few years. He was forced into a starting role last year because of Terrell Thomas' injury and he got exposed at times. He even got benched during one game because the Rams of all people were lighting him up.

Lovely. I'm guessing they're going to have him try to play opposite of Mathias. I don't like this idea.

He can be ok at times, but he takes bad routes to receivers. He had to play safety for a while in 2010 and was atrocious. He's a good nickel corner, but shouldn't really play above that.

The broncos won't win more than 9 games with their schedule the way it is..pats/ravens/falcons on road and saints/steelers/Texans at home..they will lose at least 4 of those 6.

If those are their tough games and they're going to lose 4 of them, then it sounds like they're going to go 12-4.
Not sure how your math gets you to 9. |
