I loved how they did this.... completely unexpected, gives it that grandiose feel, much like Igi said.

I agree. This storyline linking the two versions of the franchise was a fantastic idea.

The trailer was character driven because the 'fancy action shots' don't have their completed effects yet. Singer made sure to tell people before the trailer dropped to curb precisely that reaction.

I really "enjoyed" that trailer. Feels like an epic must see event, and it didn't even have any action shots.

Also, when Xavier was like "I was... different back then" and then it cut to hippy Xavier blowing dust off of Cerebro, for a moment I thought it was crack cocaine.

Really looking forward to this film!!! The potential for this film is huge! I hope that Singer pulled it off well.
Hard to believe that the first X-Men film will be 14 years old by time this is released. So Awesome that Jackman continues to get better in the role of Wolverine as time goes on. I hope that we get at least a couple more opportunities to see him as Wolverine. Can't imagine anyone else filling his shoes. |

Arashi has it right. Jackman is to Wolverine what RDJ is to Iron Man. Tough to visualise any one else in that rolel.
The trailer was superb. Gives you a glimpse of what to expect, lays the foundation of the movie, and shows you pretty much every X-Man / Mutant the movie will feature. |

The fact that present/future scenes all appear to be in a temple of sorts makes me wonder if this doesn't tie into apocalypse at all.

The shot of Patrick Stewart behind the circle thing reminded me of Locutus.

Rogue's one scene has been edited out of the film, regulated to DVD extras fodder.

Not too broken up about that. Wouldn't care if Iceman didn't make it either.

Why not just keep it in, instead of making a big deal about not putting it in? its probably like 1 minute long.

Pace or whatever. Directors have their reasons. It would help to say this now rather than have people (like us) talk about scenes in the trailer that didn't make it in.

I just...look, I always give things the benefit of the doubt, particularly when it comes to super hero movies, because there's so much that can't be properly conveyed in still. But this is just reprehensible. |
