Upset that we have to wait 2 weeks for the next ep. I don't NEED a marathon yet. Gimme NEW eps!

Am I the only one still watching? This half-season has been fairly OK, not anything earth-shattering. Yesterday's ep was the goods, the way Michael was able to kick the shit outta the sleazebag he was "befriending".
Can't believe there's only 2 more eps until the show breaks again... |

Yea, I thought the most recent episode was good. I've really enjoyed this season.

When you're a spy and you need to quickly catch up on a series you didn't know had started up again, you will find the nearest available torrent and start a download. It's safe and you won't have to worry about anyone beating down your door while you prepare your pipe bombs.

It'll be interesting to see just where Michael has ended up. When that is figured out, the series could go a couple different directions. I'm actually as interested to see what happens to the supporting cast as Michael.

Was going to start a new thread for tonight's season premiere, but decided to just revive this one instead. They're giving a marathon now, so let's relive some of the great moments before the after burner kicks in tonight at 9.
Also, I'm loving how this series has breathed an entire new life into the career of Bruce Campell, I think he deserves it. |

This is a show, along with Chuck, which I keep meaning to check out, but for some reason, I never do.

I'm having to wait until the wife comes home from visiting her family to watch the season premiere and it's killing me. 3 more days to go.

Liked the biker subplot a lot more than the new "boss."

Alright, finally got around to seeing the new episode and I got to say, this show hasn't lost a beat. What intrigues me though is that this season seems like it's going to be centered on the psychological impact being a spy can have on a person. Now I can't say that for certain, but if this does seem to be case, it does pose a question:
Should a series that was originally promoted as 'hot summer action show' add this layer of emotional storytelling? Once again, this is a question that came to mind from only seeing the first ep. of this new season, so it could all end up being moot. But if this is going to be an ongoing amendment to the series, I for one am looking forward too it. I think this addition of "realism" to the scenario could be just what this show needs to be fully complete. |

I'm fine with the added level - it was a "hot summer action show" 3 seasons ago, and is now a split-season show with half of the eps debuting in the winter. As long as it keeps what made it special, it's going to need the extra development to keep going long-term.

Indeed. And I love it for it.
Long as things keep exploding and people keep shooting, it'll qualify as a fun action series. If they can maintain that and deal with the side effects of being a spy, more power to them. |

OK, someone please tell me there will be more episodes coming - the show is still too good to die now, but that last episode sure felt like it could have been the end.

Getting antsy for this show to return. The "Fall of Sam Axe" movie was cute, but it kinda twisted the dagger a bit that "This isn't REALLY what you want to see."

Yea, the show has kinda a different vibe now i guess. Kinda like it tbh, and hope they can cohesively hold the story together. I am starting to wonder how much longer the show can last though unless they inject a major new storyline outside of the 'burn' story, cuz it seems to me that one is starting to draw to a close.

I was joking with my wife that this season is just going to be about him fixing his car. Mike, Sam, and Fee just go on dangerous missions and bring down bad guys in the proces of securing the parts he needs to fix his charger...
I've always wondered if they'd ever have Sam end up being bad. I thought it was a possibility until recently. They've really painted him as too much of a "good guy" for him to really be bad though. |

Just my opionion but they could do where after he finds out and say the CIA welcomes him back to the organization, the CIA turns around and arrests Sam and Fiona. So Michael has the decision of staying with the CIA or getting Jesse to help him break them out and basically he is backed to being burned and on the run.
Just a way I think they could go with it to help keep it exciting |

Where does this leave Madeline? With them being "on the run", they can't exactly keep going back to her each episode for "When Michael was younger" stories and bad cooking. Seems too A-Team for my likes: "...escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Miami underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if noone else can help, and if you can find them maybe you can hire The Burn Team." |

One of my 3 must watch shows every week. Michael is the man.
Loved this weeks episode and how every time he gets closer he gets one step further away |

This is probably the most well written and acted show on TV now. The only show I can think of better or equal quality is Breaking Bad. If they can maintain the action and keep advancing the story well, I see no reason this couldn't go 8-10 seasons....

Definitely have to disagree with 'well acted'. I mean, it's good I guess. I like the show. But the level of acting on Burn Notice doesn't even compare to that of a show of such high caliber as Breaking Bad. I mean, this just pales in comparison.

I have to disagree. Any show that can keep me interested while telling a good story is well acted. While BB is more slow and mythodical with their story telling, having more fast paced shows isn't a bad thing. The success of the show pretty much means millions agree with that analysis...

I think you mean it's well produced, not well acted.
