The City Sushi episode was pretty amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

If that was the finale I'd need more time to digest no more South Park.

I liked the episode. I don't think that was the end, they've said explicitly that it was the end of this half of the season.
I wouldn't be surprised, though, if this gets the ball rolling for the end. It could come at the end of this season. I think their contract is either through this year or 2012. I wonder if this episode was intended to have the double meaning of "we're burnt out on the series and can't keep going with this shit". |

I hope not. The show is still massively popular and has a never-ending supply of storylines since they can continue to mock current events.

They're signed on for another 2 years/seasons after this one according to an interview I read with them about the Broadway show.

Oh, okay. Last I heard was a while ago.
I wonder if this will be another Kenny thing, where the rest of this season they try to replace him? Though I suppose Butters will just naturally fill his place at this point. I expect at least Stan and Randy back by the end of the season. Where was Shelly? |

Thought the episode was pretty shitty, I suppose that's what they're addressing...
Seems like the end is near. |

Good news I guess. I felt like last season was literally hit or miss, there was really no middle ground (example T.M.I: Hysterical, Funnybot: Trash). I really hope they arent jumping the shark and becoming total trash (Family Guy for like the last 5 years)

When has South Park ever gave a legit reason to think they're jumping the shark? They're one of the only animated shows to ever just keep getting better the longer the show went on.

Family Guy never came close to the caliber of South Park, even in its prime.

personally I don't know about better than ever, I do feel more episodes are hit and miss nowadays but even the poorer ones beat anything put out by most other animated shows, as long as there is a human race, they have a non-stop source of material and can pretty much go on indefinitely

I just feel like there were too many misses. I despised Funnybot and for the most part Royal Pudding. I won't judge the last ep until I see how it pans out, but that one didn't really do it for me either. for some reason it just seemed like the last stretch had way more "off" episodes than any other. |
