Danielson has charisma, though. In the ring, he conveys emotion, he can keep people entertained and drawn into the match. Out of the ring, he CAN work the mic a lot better than they let on. No, not on a John Cena level, but on a level that is good enough for WWE, I feel. More than enough for the midcard at the very least.
As for why some people need wrestlers to have charisma (and by charisma, I'm going by the wide used definition in terms of mic and acting skills and that intangible "it" and NOT in-ring charisma), honestly, it's what sells. Blandy McBland isn't going draw people in, people aren't going to be able to relate to them. They aren't conveying enough of the right emotion to sell a gimmick or an angle. He can be awesome in the ring on a technical standpoint, but if no one gives a shit about him, on a national, WWE-level scale, it doesn't matter. Danielson I feel is a bad example in this, because people misconstrue his booking for being a bad "entertainer". And trolls aside, you can't really blame them. |

Apparently wrestling really is an art form according to WWE.com. I think we all have an apology to make to Clox.

I'd take this with a grain of salt. The commentators were mentioning the possibility of Vince McMahon taking back over his duties leading up to Punk vs. Triple H. Although Matt Striker did downplay it when I heard Jack Korpela bring it up.
Either way, that's a shitty way to go with the angle. |

From PWInsider:
WWE updated their Key Performance Indicators. The preliminary buyrate is only 301,000 buys, WAY below the 2010 buyrate. Based on the breakdown, the buyrate looks to be 174,000 in North America and 127.000 from International markets. In 2010, the PPV drew 350,00 buys. In 2009, the PPV drew 369,000 buys. Edit: This is for SummerSlam. Last edited by Xero; 09-25-2011 at 10:21 PM. |

Hate Santino being in character in this. Otherwise I'm enjoying it.
Also, liked how Punk said he wished they could do more angles today like the snake bite angle. |

Fuck you Santino. Did Bret writing "WCW" actually make air on the PPV? I always thought that was after it was off the air. |
