Kyle Orton will more than likely be a Chicago Bear by next week after the Broncos waived him.
lol..I dont think that trade worked out too well for Denver. |

I also did a couple more, every time the Ravens get to the Super Bowl but in one they lost to the Cowboys (not gonna happen) and in another they beat the 49ers. There wa also one with the Packers and Ravens, and of course the Packers won.
So the good news is, if the Ravens play the 49ers or Saints in the Super Bowl, they will win, but the Packers and Cowboys are loses..ugh |

With Ayers finally coming along and that second 1st indirectly leading to Tebow/Thomas/EFD the trade has the potential to be pretty decent, just have to wait and see. As it stands now that's 4 starters.
That 3rd rounder was blown though, and anyone who thinks McDaniels intended for Orton to be permanent anyway is retarded |

So lol...the only guy the Broncos have thats directly tied to the trade with Chicago is Ayers, and now the bears are going to have Cutler, Knox and Orton back...
Like I said, didn't work out too well for the Broncos. |

....the second 1st was traded and ultimately became SEVERAL picks resulting in Tebow, Thomas and Decker. So what, you discount that pick totally because it wasn't used on ONE player? Or because it's more convenient to your point?
You also assume Orton will be claimed by a team that has 29th waiver priority. Surely KC, Indy, Houston or maybe another team in need of a backup would put in a claim before Chicago? Hell, Detroit, who's spot is right before Chicago, could put in a spite claim to make sure their division rival doesn't get him. Not saying he won't end up a Bear, just saying assuming he will when there's a lot of QB needy teams with higher priority probably makes it a longshot |

In the nfl theres a salary cap which makes it harder for teams to claim players just to spite another team without a valid positional need for said player.
Kansas City isn't going anywhere so they might as well get a look at Palko, the Colts would be stupid to do it and miss out on the #1 pick, and Houston for what ever reason seems fine to roll with Leinart.. Lots of people were instantly saying Washington, but I can't see why they would bring another QB in at this point..if they were somehow still close to a playoff spot somehow maybe.. |

I'd say Chicago won the trade for now because Cutler hinted he wasn't happy in Denver and the Bears did reach the NFC title game last season. Only problem is Mike Martz as the offensive coordinator has hurt the team a lot more than helped (especially the O line coverage calls).
Denver is tougher to predict but Tebow could end up as the wild card in the entire deal. He has managed to turn a lost season into a potential playoff season and benefited a lot due to defenses not having camps because of the lockout. The only problem is management is split on Tebow's future in Denver and next year defenses will have adjusted a lot to the wild cat offense in the AFC West. |

I think the read option offense is the way to go for this year only. Next season will be Tim's third yet it'll also be his first full offseason. I'd imagine as soon as the season ends the team and Tebow get back to work on his motion, timing and footwork, things they really don't have time to work on during the season. IMO Tebow stands to drastically improve as a passer from this season to next

Well I can at least understand his frustration, this year at least. The offensive line play has been poor. It hasn't been talked about because the team has won.

lol, Chicago's o-line is so bad that Orton is no threat. They let a mobile QB like Cutler get hurt, how's a statue like Orton gonna do? Orton has no deep arm, eliminating much of the threat of Knox/Hester/Whothefuckever deep. Orton struggled to hit Royal and Decker wide open on slants over the middle, how's he supposed to drop one over the top deep for Knox?
Any Bears fans need to brace themselves for dump offs, checkdowns, passes tipped at the line, ground balls and Kyle folding over when a defender gets too close. Better off going with Hanie tbh |

Oh I'm extra bitter, no doubt. Mostly because of constantly being told Orton is a "good QB" by people who don't even have to watch him. Or how Elway and Fox tried to force everyone to believe he offered the best chance to win, only for him to end up 1-4. Blah blah blah, defense wasn't playing as well then as it is now, so? In 2 of those 4 losses he had a chance in each to lead a game winning drive.
The result? The other was an INT. In another of his losses he played so shit bad that at half time Fox benched him for Tebow, something I'm sure it absolutely pained him and Elway to do. So after many a game winning/tying drive blown, red zone opportunities ending in FGs due to anti-clutch passing, 3rd down grounders and "plz don't hurt me" sacks, I'm plenty happy to finally be officially done with the Kyle Orton Experiment |

I don't want him going to KC or Chicago, however, because it seems like no matter how bad they were for the Broncos, former players come back with a fucking vengeance in Denver, and both those teams have games in Denver coming up. He also stands to expose the shit out of the offense.
Come onnnnn Colts or (apparently) Jets |

To be fair, for all they knew, Orton was their best chance to win. As cool as this Tebow thing is, it's really a freakshow and probably couldn't have been predicted.

Apparently Orton has been claimed by 2 teams. No word who they are yet though. May be bad for Chicago, given that their plan was apparently since their priority was almost last to let Orton pass through so they could sign him to a cheaper contract

It's gotta be the Chiefs or the Dolphins. Moore has been on a role lately with the Dolphins though, they may want to feel that out.

The Chiefs have claimed QB Kyle Orton off waivers from the Broncos, NFL Network contributor Jay Glazer reports.

This is the only game of the season where I'd be content with the Packers kicking the shit out of the other team.
