Bard's back in the bullpen and he didn't screwup today. Supposedly the Red Sox are considering using Aaron Cook from Pawtucket to fill in the 5th spot but also rumored to just let him leave since his current deal ends on May 1.

HazMat is supposed to sign with the Rays. Don't know if it's a major or minor league deal.

Really interested in seeing The reaction for Reyes tonight. Frankly I think he should get a standing O for his first at bat. Sounds like a large group of fans are planning on booing him, but that's stupid. It's not Reyes' fault the Mets never made him an offer.

"I will be booing Reyes tonight. He showed a selfish, low-class persona in Game 162 last year. The fans were only there to see him, and he bolts after one at-bat just to pad his next contract."
Loads of comments just like this one in the news articles. Love how 8 years of exciting Reyes baseball apparently got cancelled out in one at-bat. Morons. |

Braves send Jair Jurrjens down to Triple-A Gwinnett. Ouch.

So who becomes the 5th man in the rotation now then?
I know Hanson is coming back soon, but does this mean Delgado stays in the rotation now instead? |

I'm gonna guess that Cano got with all 3, but took a half day so Nunez could join in.

In other news, here come the black clouds over the Mets. Mike Pelfrey (who was actually off to a good start) and Jason Bay suddenly have been DL'ed. Pelfrey's season is likely over with a UCL injury. WTF.

The Twins would be a good team if baseball teams didn't require pitchers.

Pujols is definitely feeling the pressure now. Shocked he hasn't hit one out yet. Isn't hitting for average, either. Was talking to himself in the dugout tonight.

Seems pretty bad anyways. What kind of pitches were the ones that were far off? Sliders? Cut-fastball? Curve? Do they have a computer chip in the balls now to track this? |

The Marlins yesterday somehow managed to walk 4 batters in a row with 4 different pitchers with 2 outs, allowing the Mets to tie the game in the 7th.

Darvish might have K'd 10 Yankees, but he certainly was beatable last night. Had the bases load once or twice, but couldn't drive anything in.

Yeah. They're going bonkers over at RAB right now.
This trade's gonna hurt. We're paying him a little over $500k this season which isn't a big deal. Hughes and Steady Freddy are gonna fight for a spot on the rotation now. Andy's about 3-4 minor league starts away before the gets the call. |

18th straight game for Pirates where they haven't scored 5 runs.
Funny thing is... 18th straight game their opponent hasn't scored 5 runs. If only there was SOME kind of offense to this team they might have a chance at .500 this year. |
