This week's RAW had pretty good matches. I was a little angry because they threw Dolph Ziggler versus John Cena on a RAW instead of a pay-per-view.

Maybe just a feeling out of things? Sometimes it's a good thing to have a great match of PPV quality on a weekly show, gives people a reason to watch. That said, I agree completely on your view of RAW, it felt like a proper show for once.

I like this idea if they hype it up a little more. Ideally, I'd wanna see one (maybe 2 since it's 3 hours) good, long 20 minute or more PPV match on free TV every week and the rest is all about just putting guys over and advancing storylines. Like back in the day when Raw would be a bunch of squash matches, some storyline advancement that didn't necessarily revolve around a match and then an epic main event for the IC title or between two main event level guys or something. And book it a week in advance. Make it seem like a big deal. Kinda what they do with Main Event which is a fucking awesome and neatly booked show.

That way, you still wanna tune into Raw to see storyline advancement and whatever that PPV quality match is but PPVs are still a bigger deal because there are 7-8 of those "PPV quality" matches instead of just one and you're seeing the culmination of those feuds that had been built up. It's a perfect set-up.

Speaking of hyping up matches, WWE barely bothered to hype how important next week's RAW will be besides maybe a quick word or two during RAW.

On paper it should be one of the most important non-special RAWs in recent years considering next week is when Punk officially ties Cena's reign length. They've teased a bunch of times that milestone is more important than reaching a whole year as champion.

Probably now will end up as Cena just randomly demands to have a title match and the main event against Punk instead of using yesterday to build up the hype around Cena's final try against Punk attempt to break his record and make next week a "must see" RAW.

Exactly. They could have easily hyped up something like that. They could have hyped up Cena vs Ziggler for last night in advance too and had it be something worth tuning in for alone.

It just seems like the matches on Main Event have so much meaning while the outcome of matches on Raw rarely seem like they matter. No one is moving up or down on the card based on a win or loss most of the time.

What would be wrong with a guy doing more than just focusing on one guy? Hell, Cena was facing Punk and Ryback on PPV while he was feuding with Ziggler. Punk had an awesome little Raw feud going with Mark Henry while he was feuding with Daniel Bryan to lead to a PPV.

There wouldn't be anything wrong if they did go that direction and have Cena decide he wants to take the title off Punk before he beats his reign to preemptively to shut him up. You can even have Ziggler cost him the match and then Ryback comes out after Cena chases Ziggler off to go after Punk. I like when guys have little minor feuds. It means they don't have to constantly interact with just one guy so it keeps that feud more fresh.

But, they've done Cena/Punk to death and Ziggler/Cena has reached the tipping point and is now a hot main feud. I'd rather them continue to build Ziggler up as a legit thread to Cena and tease Ryback/Punk and the role of The Shield more.

It's Raw. Not WrestleMania or anything. It's a random episode of Raw. Most of the time the main events are meaningless "Let's throw these two feuds together in a tag match" matches. I'd rather see an actual meaningful match between Cena and Punk than that. And you literally don't even have to drop the Ziggler/Cena or Ryback/Punk feud for even one night as at the end of the night, you can bring them right into the mix. And then you can even set up your typical Cena and Ryback vs Ziggler and Punk main event next week if you want and there's actually some reason behind it.

Hello my fellow wretling fans
Hello.

My name is Rodney but you can call me Rodney Killa. That is not my real name but my wrestling name. Thats right! As some of you may have guessed I am in fact a pro wrestler.

Why would a pro wrestler join an internet forum you may ask? well as some of you know I am a wrestling fan too and I love to share my love of grappling and entertainment with all of you!

Now I may not be the best and I may not be the most smartest but in fact the fact is that I love wrestling and I am sure you do too! For this first of my threads lets discuss some of our favorite wrestling that we cannoy see on TV these days.

One such company I found is called Parson's Wrestling. This hot online backyard wrestling fed fights with its own rules and is full of only the most hardcore wrestling fans who have taken things in their own hands and dare to defy nature by fighting with their passion in the ring!
