I've thought about getting the planet earth stuff. I've seen it on Amazon for relatively cheap. Is it any good?

You should not be legally allowed to own a blu ray player without Planet Earth.

You can't compare any of David Attenborough's works with each other. I have pretty much all of them on DVD/Blu-ray and I won't hesitate to get any further series his team makes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_A...gh#Filmography

I'm not really interested in replacing or updating many movies with blu ray. I like the upgraded quality, but not enough to go out and care enough to rebuild what's already a pretty huge collection of mine.
Especially since I feel it doesn't make a huge difference in a lot of movies. I've put down the extra couple bucks on Dark Knight, Watchmen, Iron Man, Star Trek, Scott Pilgrim and a few others. I bought Ghostbusters on Blu Ray cheap recently, and it looked awesome. I may do the same for Back to the Future. Mostly out of love for the movies and some respectable features/seeing them at their crispest form. I'll get the Star Wars set. Maybe a couple others. Blade Runner has been one I've entertained. But I'm not going to be spending the extra money on Hangover on blu ray while I still have an option. |

Don't have a blu-ray player, so it doesn't make sense for me to buy any blu-ray discs.

I apply the same logic to blu ray as Jeritron on that I only buy stuff that I feel benefits greatly from being in HD. Or if I really like the film. I only got my player at Xmas so the list is pretty short right now.
The Dark Knight Shutter Island Inception Toy Story 3 Law Abiding Citizen (doesn't meet either criteria, was a present) Watchmen I was considering picking up the WrestleManias that are available on Blu Ray. Ayone know if they're worth it? |

The cost difference between regular dvd and blu ray is like $1 or so for the wrestlemania disks. Go for it.

WM 26 on DVD WM 26 on Blu Ray WM 25 on DVD WM 25 on Blu Ray A shame if it is so different over there. |

As soon as I got a blu ray player, I decided that I wouldn't buy dvd's anymore unless they're for like wrestling or something, like the documentaries and stuff. I'll probably get 'Manias and other ppv's on blu ray...but I very rarely buy dvd's anymore.

I'll list them in a bit. Usually only buy these if it's the blu ray/dvd combo. Get them fairly cheap at Moviestop upon release. Older movies I tend to wait until Target puts them on sale for $9.99 or less.

Although I'd be paying £20 - £24 extra as I wouldn't buy them on DVD at all. Might try to pick them up second hand. |
