Walls of Jericho ?
Does anyone know why Chris Jericho's once standing boston crab, has become a regular boston crab?

I don't have a clue, but I would have to guess safety or something, even though I never heard of Jericho hurting anyone with the original "version".

Yeah.Earlier this year Jericho said that he changed the move to ease
up unnecessary tension on the wrestlers.I think it's a smart move,co- nsidering the amount of injuries, both major and minor, that happen in WWE. |

He should just adapt a new finisher if he is going to turn the Wall of Jericho into a Boston Crab.

Nothing wrong with the Boston Crab, I just think Jericho should come up with a submission that other people don't do.

I really do miss the original Walls of Jericho.
But ya know for safety reason to change it to a Boston Crab is kinda aight but it would be cool on occasions for him to sometimes have the true Walls of Jericho. I mean what about Brock's submission move? All that tension and stuff? Somethin must be done. |

I think he changed it because it's easier to get to the ropes with... hey, you try crawling to the ropes with a man almost sitting on your head

...He probably changed it up because since today's wrestlers are so muscular and carry so little body fat, it makes them "tighter", which, when you're in the position "The Lion Tamer" put you in, can lead to injuries to the back, quads, etc.

I believe Jericho said he changed the Liontamer in WWE b/c in WCW the guys he was using that move on were his size or smaller. In WWE, the guys he was facing were huge, thus making the move uncomfortable for him and his opponent. So, changing the move seemed to be common sense. I wanna say I saw that on his dvd set, but I'm not 100% sure...

I think he should still use it in big matches, against guys who can handle it.

My back is a bit shit at times, massages and having the missus walk on it are a god send. I think if I ever earn enough money, I'm going to employ Chris Jericho to give me a Liontamer every time it bothers me/tightens, I can almost feel it stretching just looking at the pictures.

I think he changed it into a regular Boston crab because it'll be easier to apply the move on larger wrestlers.

Not sure if anybody mentioned this yet, but it may have been to do with the size of the guys he was wrestling.
