There was a huge thunderstorm that shut off the power halfway through the movie. Had a heart attack. Then
SPOILER: show
as the bat was leaving with the bomb
the power went off again and the theater was evacuated. So I haven't seen the last 5-10 minutes of this yet.

However it was pretty great, my favourite of the trilogy. I felt like tdk had some better individual scenes, mainly because of Ledger. But it also buckled a little bit under it's own ambition and the ending felt disjointed. Thought this had much more momentum and was perfectly paced despite it's large assemble and connections to the previous movies. I got free passes so I'm going to see it again Wednesday.

Yeah, brain farted til I thought about it. He just ran the program that made the addictive face cream or whatever that addicted Hagen (I think that was his name) and then had his thugs test some new version on him or something that turned Hagen into Clayface. This isnt areally a spoiler.

Loved that scene where the Businessman is just screaming at bane, then band just sets a finger on the guys shoulder. The guy freezes with Fear and knows he is fucked. Just shows how bad ass Bane was.

Loved Bane. Loved his voice. Loved what he was. Didnt love the way the twist at the end played out.

Saw it last night. Fucking loved it. Not as much as I enjoyed Dark Knight, but it was still great. I'm going to go see it again at the Movie Tavern on Wednesday.

As much as I loved it, Bane's voice kinda killed it for me after I realized that it sounds just like Darrell Hammond doing Sean Connery on Celebrity Jeopardy.

Considering you never see Banes mouth, I contemplated whether Connery was doing his voice for a few moments. The resemblance was quite uncanny.

I loved this movie more than the previous installments because it made you feel that Batman was in legitimate danger and that he possibly might not make it out alive. The suspense was ridiculously amazing.

I'd say the ending of this one >> the previous two. Because not only the twists but of Batman seriously being in danger. But the beginning and middle I prefer TDK.

Agreed the ending was legitemately more suspenseful than either of the previous two. Was convinced Bats was caputs once we found out the twist. Bale looked so helpless.

Saw my second showing last night. Icant say what film I like nest because I personally feel that all three are so different its tough to compare. Ill probably wait a few weeks for a,third viewing.

would love to see a dark knight returns in like 20 years with Nolan directing and bale as batman even if it had nothing to do with this particular storyline

I think it was "And this gives you power over me?". Such an awesome line.

I dont think we will ever see another Nolan bat film. I question what kind of story and character Nolan has left to tell. Not to mention, there elements which were clearly inspired by TDKReturns.

I also dont see this series continuing. Theyve made 3 stellar films, all of which have really transcended what a comic book movie is. Best to move on and allow some poor bastard start up his own world, preferably without an origin flick and an already existing Batman.

I really liked it, but I think it's the weakest of the trilogy.

Got back, great flick.

Only minor complaint was that I would spent a little longer in the audio department getting Bane's voice juuuuuust right. Some scenes I can hear him clear as day, others sounded like he was garbled. Maybe it was the theater, maybe it was me.

Was on a diff board, and someobe brought up their thoughts that, while they really enjoyed the series, theyd like it be scaled back to an Avengers type adaptation, or strictly huge popcorn film is how I took it.

Now, I loved the Avengers. Great movie. But what made Nolans series so good, imo, was his constant attention to Bruces inner struggles. It made it more human, and had it not been for such an approach, I dont feel these fils would be held in such high regard.

What do you guys think? Should WB go back to making Bats a summer popcorn movie, or should they tey and find someone, like Nolan, who wants to plunge deeper into the characters and create more than just a "summer movie"?

The reason why every Nolan Batman and a bunch of DC based movies are better than most Marvel films is because they aren't 'popcorn' films.

Do you think Nolan would let them keep this universe? I mean in so much as the ending of Rises?

That would be neat. Now I know just about all of the actors are done with the series, but I like to cling on to that last shot lol

I think this series should end with Rises. What I am saying is when they decide to move on and take Batman into a different direction, they should bring someone in who wants to continue to 4ig deep into Bruces psyche. Nolan has proven that the general audience will welcome smart, deeply character driven films with open arms and wallets.

I think that trend should continue. Keep Bats as a smart movie.

After watching the movie a second time, there was nothing left open for interpretation. Nolan clearly wrote and presented a literal ending.
