Ill be seeing it again next week with a buddy of mine. Cant wait. Took everything in in so much better in the second time. Anyone else whose seen it think Michael Cain could get a best supporting actor nod? The man was gripping every second he was on screen.
Im also curious to see what bells and whistles will be tacked on the dvd/blu ray. The last two were pretty meh with special features. Hoping we get uber spoiled for the finale. |

Don't think Michael Caine was in it long enough to be nominated. Levitt maybe.

Mark Whalberg was thinly featured in the Departed, and he got a nom. I think Caine should be judged on presence, performance and impact rather than how often we saw him. We shall see.

I can't believe that many people dislike Bane's voice. I pretty much marked as soon as I heard him talk.
Loved that voice. It might be my favorite thing about the movie. Also I would really like to have more Nolan/Bale Batman movies. I think they should just keep it going. |

Was kind of like 'what' the first time he talked, but then as it went on, I really liked it. Loved how different it sounded due to the mask. Like, it just 'popped' in the theater really well and gave this really eerie feeling every time he was on screen. He was really a 'larger than life' villain.

you guys who couldn't understand his voice should have that earwax removed. I got everything he said. I loved Bane, I loved how menacing he was, how intelligent he was, his prescence was undeniable. Even though I knew the major swerve was coming, I felt bad to see bane become a red herring and get knocked down a peg. It was trivial but Jesus fuck I loved him.

The only line I didnt catch is when, while fighting Bats, Bane says "...victory has defeated you". Theres a first part of that line that I still havent figured out. Other than that, he was pretty clear throughout.

I enjoyed it quite alot; I think TDK is a better film but I still rate it highly. Tom Hardy was great as Bane.
I do think the sound mix was a bit off, with some of the dialogue from all actors being swapped at times by the music. Or maybe the cinema had the audio on so loud that it created a wall of sound. |

I'm gonna make an ending for myself:
Fox helps Blake fill the role as Gotham's protector. Being his own man, he changes the motif to birds and becomes Nightwing. Every once and a while Bruce returns to train him as Ras did years before. But sometimes... just sometimes... the city needs a dynamic duo. Loved the movie. Deeper analysis later. K thx bye. |

Lol, Kalyx. Pretty sure the ending meant Bruce is done, period. I mean, I couldnt imagine the ramifications of bringing himself back from the dead.

Lucuis stated that long term, thwy could prove fraud. He had the manor and geounds donated to the city, so long as it remains untouched and as a home for boys. All other assets were left to Alfred.

That ending was pretty unoriginal. Talking about what El Vac is talking about. Anne Hathaway is so fucking hot. She was underused in this movie. I'm glad they didn't get into her being some sort of cat with nine lives. It was better how they wrote her.
I feel like they miscut the order of a couple scenes involving Talia. Starting with Gordon being sentenced |

He was declared dead due to being MIA the first time aroung. The whole gravestone. Eulogy, and divying of his estate sealwd the deal that Bruce would remain "dead".
I hope the next series explore an already in his prime Batman/Bruce Wayne and the undertaking of Robin and the emotional/psychological ramifications of such. Think itd be a neat idea and something thts never been delved into at great depth. Maybe have the third film focus around Dick growing up and wanting to be his own man and how that effects Bruce. |

This. Bane was absolutely terrifying. I expected him to be good, but not that good. Hathaway also surprised me. Very good performance. I'm torn on whether I would like the story to end here, or continue with more movies. SPOILER: show |

If Bruce were to come back, I imagine it would be in a training role rather than come back to the city as Bruce. This time there would be legal ramifications that even he has to respect.
Yes they mentioned Batman can be anybody, but Blake is his own man. He would probably take up the role at first before making adjustments with Fox. Bear in mind this partly wishful thinking on my part, because I fucking love Blake. While I'm at it, Selina's little friend may as well be Stephanie Brown. The trilogy's done, I can go crazy. Bane is fucking terrifying. Was there a scene where he didn't kill or fuck up anybody? |

Alright I'm giving this a go on what I liked and didn't like about the movie.
SPOILER: show I would say that the Dark Knight Rises is the "worst" (but the movie is still awesome) in the trilogy, and also this is the best trilogy of my lifetme. I guess others would say LOTR,, but I don't know I'm not that high on them. |

That's true I didn't think of there being multiple ones.
Lol it had nothing to do with them being Steelers and everything to do with them being real known football players. |

I'm sorry, I know a lot of people are torn on whether TDK or TDKR is the better movie, but for me, it's easy. While Heath Ledger's joker is incomparable, The Dark Knight Rises as a whole just made me care about the characters so much more, and I feel like the movie as a whole is better for it. What happened to Rachel and other victims in TDK is sad, but isn't all that uncommon in summer blockbusters. This movie actually had me fighting a lump in my throat toward the end. For me, this is a trilogy that get's better with each installment.
Yes it has a couple minor flaws in story flow that the other two didn't, but I cared so much about the characters in this film, where as in the previous two, as good as they were, they were exactly that: characters in a film. I got really choked up watching this. That hasn't happened in years. And it wasn't because of some cheap sob story moment. It's because the movie made me care that much. There's a difference. |

The one thing I didn't like(and I'm positive Kalyx is with me on this) is that the football team gotham was playing was some random made up city and not Metropolis. I thought that would have been the absolute PERFECT oppurtunity for an easter egg of that nature.
