Can't believe as a Knicks fan I've been rooting for the Celtics this series but I have. Only thing to root for is hoping it makes it easier for LeBron to leave Cleveland if they get knocked out again this year.

Just read an article that was saying the Knicks have had a guy on their staff for the past two years who's sole job is to make LeBron want to come to NY in the summer.

Gonna be so disappointing when he doesn't come here.

Why would they shut the hell up? If the Cavs lose then people will still sing the praise of Lebron because he's currently the best basketball player alive.

Also, people had every right to think the Cavs would win the Championship this year, given their record. If they don't win, it will be an upset.

What? Lebron being better than Kobe isn't really THAT debatable. You can look at simple stat cards and it would be pretty one sided. I guess you can't argue with championships but he didn't really do it alone.

In most all the years Kobe won a championship with the Lakers, he had an All-Star team backing him up. The Cavs right now consists of one extremely good player and a bunch of average players working together perfectly.

Kobe is an extremely good player but it seems you could put Lebron on just about any team and they are instantly playoff capable.

Agreed.

I say send Lebron to a team that will actually take advantage of him and that will use him to win championships. That's just me though. Cavs still have a chance, but it's all they have. There are many teams that would be pretty much guaranteed a championship with Lebron on the squad.

James, in the first quarter of tonight's game, had 0 points, and 4 assists. Now I don't know much about basketball and quite frankly, I hate the game. However, I caught a little bit of that first quarter and to me, your best player has to be your best player. Lebron's game is not playing the "dish master" but it is to take games over, and win them, by himself if necessary. Im not sure how he did in the other quarters and do not care to look but the score kind of says it all.

Yes, but at some point he is going to have to take the ball to the hole by himself. We all know he has the ability to score between 25-30 points a game, but some games he is going to have to put 30-40 so his team can win. In the age of the salary cap which is a part of most pro leagues, if a team wants a player like that, his supporting cast isn't going to be as good. Thus, like I said before, the Star has to lift most of the weight.

To tell you the truth, not all too many but my brother is the biggest Cavs fan I'll probably ever meet. He tells me a whole lot.

From what I've seen, what I say mostly rings true. That isn't that say that he doesn't take vital shots when he needs to but he isn't a complete ball hog like many "star players" tend to be. You don't get the stats that Lebron has by being a selfish player, I mean, look at his assists alone.

My point is that Lebron is known for taking over games. Nothing wrong with that, because sometimes that what the team needs, but to say he doesn't take control of games is a bit off.

Guess that depends on what you mean by taking control, or I could be wrong altogether. Just now starting to get back into the game. My point is that he gives his team a very fair amount of looks in comparison to himself. His team would not have near the individual stats that they have even, if Lebron wasn't on the team.

Maybe his numbers in certain areas, I don't know. Seems that LeBron would be a hard player to beat statistically all around. He's a pretty complete player.

What I want to know is why LeBron bothers alot of Lakers fans so much? Even if he is the greatest player in the NBA, what does that take away from the Lakers, who are on their way to maybe winning another NBA Championship? (I actually think the Magic will take it, but you know what I mean)

I dont think it just bothers Laker fans. Me personally? I have been a Laker fan my whole life, from the late 80's (when i started watching games) showtime era, to the days where our 'superstar' was Cedric Ceballos, up to (my personal fave season of all) the 97 Lakers, and now.

Cavs 'fans', for the most part, couldnt tell you shit about the organization prior to James being drafted. Most of their fans werent rooting for them when their superstar was Shawn Kemp
