Wow, Amare out for possibly the season. And now Lin needs knee surgery and will be out for 6 weeks, so basically the whole season. Terrible news for the Knicks. Kept reading he'd be back by next week so kinda surprising.

Wow Celtics dominated the Heat badly in the 2nd half. Held the Heat to their worst game of the season in terms of scoring, shooting percentage, and win margin/defense.
Heat basically gave up in the 3rd once the Cs took a huge lead. |

NBA considering changing its age requirement rule from the current 1 year of college or 19 years of age to something similar of the NFL's 3 year rule or 21/22 years of age.
The union is expected to reject the idea but did form a committee to analyze the pros and cons of such a deal. Its assumed any deal would involve the owners making a small concession which they barely did during the last time both sides met. David Stern also wants the NCAA to be involved in the debate since they stand to benefit more if star college players stay for more years. |

Pretty good game between the Cs and Spurs especially the 4th quarter. Probably going to lose badly tomorrow against the Bulls since the bench didn't get that many minutes outside of Bradley.
At least Philly lost so no real ground was lost. |

Yeah the crowd at Orlando booed Howard a lot once it became public but no way management will side with Stan if it means a small chance of keeping Dwight for the long term.

Crazy , you would never ever see this in the NFL. From the minute Howard mentioned he wanted Vangundy out probably some months ago, they shoulda just let him go. Poor Vangundy seemed like he's scared of Howard

If Stan Van Gundy ever gets to coach a team that's not surrounded by bullshit, he's gonna be a pretty good coach.
Maybe he needs to get out of Florida. |

I wish the Hornets had gotten Tom Thibodeau two years ago.. That winning percentage they just showed is outstanding..
Like 74% last season and like 78% this season, with Rose missing 31 games.. Crazy.. |

What makes that even weirder is the Bulls so far don't want to offer him a contract extension nor made any progress towards even discussing one to keep him longer team.
He wants a longer deal and more money while the Bulls seem to be leaning in just taking the option and then do a new deal or not after next season. His current contract was only for 2 years with a 3rd as an option since the Bulls didn't want to risk anything longer than 2 years after Del Negro struggled as coach. Although Del Negro's problem I believe was the rift between him and Noah. |

I guess Lamar Odom and the Mavs cut a deal in which he doesn't have to play anymore, but they're not releasing him. He's getting penciled in as inactive for the rest of the season.

Cs beat Heat again and started out strong just like the last game.
So far this potential brutal 2 week stretch of games has gone very favorable to the Cs. Still have the back-to-back-to-back games which is going to be brutal if Doc mismanages the minutes. |

hard win by the Cs but holy crap at the amount of booing to the refs during OT. Can't blame them since 3 of the 4 OT fouls were really bad calls and favored the Hawks.
Rondo with a triple double. |
