TNA hasn't scheduled any programming after Bound For Glory...
TNA doesn't have any tv scheduled to air after their Bound For Glory ppv. No future tv tapings have been announced. They have 6 house shows after Bound For Glory in October (3 in the U.S. and 3 in the U.K.) but that is it.
Is it safe to say R.I.P. TNA? Is Bound For Glory the end of their programming? Destination America seems to still be carrying Ring of Honor in October. |

What's so funny about the end of TNA? How is less wrestling a good thing for wrestling fans? Is anyone else lightweight saddened by this news? I definitely am.

As bad as the company is, it going out of business would not be a good thing. Less places for people to work and get experience means less opportunities and would just be bad for the industry.

Hopefully GFW can pick up more stream by doing more translation shows too. AAA should just let Jarrett do their stuff since they proved they can't handle shit. Most of the TNA guys can become GFW guys if they can pick up that and a tv deal. Everybody will have a job except the people who don't deserve it: Dixie Carter and the writers.

TNA's demise means someone else can have a go at being #2, and whoever steps up would almost have to be an improvement over this shoddily-run, worse-booked hot mess of a promotion. |

Can anyone tell me they honestly feel like Bobby Roode is better off defending the King Of The Mountain Title against Bobby Lashley on a show almost literally no one will see than he would be if he was in ROH with a weekly TV show? Even if it's a "smaller" company, that's still better exposure.

I hope they stay around or GFW buys them out. Impact is pretty good every week. The writers are not the problem. Upper management is the problem, you have to get money to your talent on time. TNA has a great roster, the best womens wrestling and a lot of guys would find work elves where but some one asked if Bobby Roode was in ROH if he would get more exposure. I don't think so. ROH is a great promotion that has its own niche. They have 1 hour shows that don't showcase all their talent every week. So Bobby is on TV every week on TNA but if he was in ROH he probably gets on TV once or twice a month. If it is the end its a sad day for wrestling, and their show will be missed, at least by me.

He gets more exposure because the show reaches homes and is guaranteed to reach tv sets that Sinclair broadcasts on. He'd also get exposure through the inter promotional shows they do in different countries.
There's also the internet. ROH would be a good thing for guys like Roode. TNA is a sinking ship that never left the docks. They've been in neutral for years and despite having one young talent after the other, legends like Sting, and arguably the greatest wrestler in the world in Kurt Angle, they've still accomplished jack shit. At least ROH can brag they've played a huge helping hand in developing guys line Samoa Joe, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, etc. What can TNA pitch to its talent to keep them believing in the company? We can't hold on to a tv deal and we've made zero stars or developed a bunch of nobodies? |

They should have never been given that false confidence from without or within. They could have never competed with WWE in any way shape or form at any time. They weren't a threat ever.

PWG probably would benefit the most with TNA going under since right now they are ROH's biggest competition on the indie scene. Not sure if they have any sort of national or big tv deal but that could be their next step assuming they can find something decent for them. |

I don't understand why wrestling in the US is looked at as a no go for so many advertisers. Ihear that wrestling fans are ccheap but ask Vince McMahon if that's the case because its not. If its there and its good people will watch it. Wrestling in the US could be huge if TV would get behind it. I really thought Destination America was in to something adding ROH and was trying to be the go to channel for wrestling but seems not.

Mix between the lingering negative side effects from the Attitude Era and the WWE botching their current tv deal by getting something way less than they were hyping.
WWE striking out on getting sports or MLS like money for a new deal ended up hurting the industry really bad. If they couldn't get a mega deal as the top company, no way any smaller company would get anything decent. TNA had no choice but to take a really bad deal just to stay on tv while Spike TV lost all interest in spending the big bucks for wrestling. |

True, still hope another channel takes a chance on TNA or GFW. The two companys might be better off merging.

If TNA closed its doors and Sinclair put some real money into ROH, you could have Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Lashley built for a PPV as a special attraction to get eyes on a product that is also delivering a World Title match between two talents either in their prime or approaching it, and actually try and gain an actual footing in the world of professional wrestling. Can you imagine if ROH got the chance to put on The Hardys vs. The Briscoes? You don't need to be a major fan of either team to see how that is better for professional wrestling than Jeff Hardy being forced to be Ethan Carter's personal assistant, and Matt Hardy still works Ladder Matches at 40 to try and recapture a fifteen year old flame at this point. Jim Cornette has spoken extensively about what he thinks Sinclair should have done with ROH in the past. Oddly enough, it was almost exactly what Triple H did with NXT and the Performance Center. He's also spoken and written extensively about what he thinks ROH should do now with their Destination America deal. It sounds not only logical, but interesting, and would basically be an audition for a national cable network to pick them up. I'm not sure how it clashes with what Sinclair's interests are, but Spike TV seems like the most logical choice. TNA soured them on sports entertainment, but maybe a case can be made by ROH to differentiate between that and professional wrestling (something I'm sure Spike TV hasn't done on their own), and get some of the big free agents out there, treat them seriously, and use them to grow some intellectual property. |

Winning matches doesn't mean you're good. Lashley? If you are betting the farm on Lashley you are already dead.

They pretty much pulled a WCW in that instead if just focusing on putting on good matches(which the company seemed to do in the past)They tried to compete. They had stuff going for them i.e Knockouts division was amazing and they just ignored all that because they wanted Hogan,Angle and whoever else they could sign due to their names being out there. They never seemed to grasp the idea that if your product is good word gets out.

I dunno. I wouldn't mind seeing a one-off feud if WWE ever got the chance to sign him again.
Angle comes back with a chip on his shoulder all about losing to a young upstart in John Cena way back in 2002. Kurt says their paths diverged between 2006 and now. He says both men have gone on and accomplished the feat of winning 15 world titles, but both of them are obviously starting to show signs of their age, as talented as they both are. Angle proposes a match @ WM where both men will agree, via a contract signing that it will be career vs. career -- whoever loses not only loses the match, they can never again compete in a professional wrestling ring again. Cena accepts, and the two put on a WM ___ match for the ages. |

The guy is still one of the best wrestlers with any sort of name value in the world today. And you wouldn't be betting the farm on either him OR Lashley. You'd be using them to draw people in, and hopefully they stick around for the rest of the product -- which wouldn't be as off-putting as the TNA nonsense.

Imagine this card:
ROH World Championship Jay Lethal (c) vs. Roderick Strong ROH World Tag Team Championship The Addiction (c) vs. The American Wolves ROH World Television Championship Dalton Castle (c) vs. Silas Young ROH World Women's Championship Tournament Finals Awesome Kong vs. Gail Kim Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Lashley ROH/NJPW Interpromotional Match Austin Aries vs. Kazuchika Okada ROH/NJPW Interpromotional Six-Man Tag Team Match AJ Styles & The Young Bucks vs. Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish Matt and Jeff Hardy vs. Jay and Mark Briscoe ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Don't tell me you wouldn't watch that. It's almost too much, so you could split things up and do two nights. Have the special attractions featuring Angle/Lashley and The Hardys/The Briscoes on separate nights. Do the Tag Titles with Angle/Lashley and the World Title with The Hardys/Briscoes. Put the six-man on the Tag Title show and Aries/Okada on the World Title show. Have Shinsuke Nakamura work the Tag Title show because he's fucking amazing, etc. |

IWC fans may love that show, but the average fan would never watch it as they would only recognize the names The Hardy's & Angle at best....GFW needs to absorb TNA talent, get rid of Dixie/Russo and all those responsible for the shitty TNA booking for the past 5+ years and let Jeff Jarrett start from scratch like he did 10+ years ago when he founded TNA....
