Make it realistic...bring in Kurt Angle, having parted ways with TNA, obviously they wouldn't refer to TNA, but they could say he has always been a champion wherever he went and is one of the best of all time.
Current champ CM Punk welcomes him back and tells him he watched him while getting into the business and making his own way and he is a hero. Kurt's jealousy and competitive nature reveal themselves as the weeks go on and he starts to talk about the three I's again and mentions Punk by name, saying he is a great guy, but is missing the Intensity, Intergrity and Intelligence of a Kurt Angle. Punk confronts him, asks him what his problem is, and Kurt tells him that HE should be champion, but after he left, these upstarts want to come out and call themselves the best in the world. Kurt says he never stopped being the best in the world and is an Olympic champion, something Punk can only dream of... Match is made for Mania, who is the best in the world and the true World Champion, we are treated to clips of their best matches over the years, tale of the tape etc... Think it would be really intriguing and a really cool story to tell. Would also be a fitting last match at Mania for someone like Angle. |

Vince McMahon would have purchased TNA by this point, and Impact Wrestling would air on the WWE Network still, possibly running out of the same venue as NXT. If Vince announced this match happening, I'd run an entire card of WWE vs. TNA matches:
Daniel Bryan would have been the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at this time, having won the title in the 2015 Royal Rumble Match (if the winner isn't getting a shot at the title, you might as well make the Rumble for the actual title). Kurt Angle manages to prove he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame by winning the TNA Title but some point and defending it against all comers -- Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, etc. Bryan vs. Angle is just to find out who the best wrestler in the world is. Daniel Bryan strongly represents the WWE, despite claiming that he is only doing it for himself, and he unifies the WWE and TNA World Heavyweight Championships, appearing on both shows as its champion. The Undertaker, who lost to Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania XXX the year previous, also competes at WrestleMania again, taking on Sting, who acts like he doesn't even want the match. Sting wins this match, handing The Undertaker his second WrestleMania loss and getting TNA a big victory. Triple H and a re-signed Jeff Jarrett clash in a Battle of Authority. Stephanie McMahon and Karen Jarrett brawl at ringside at some point. This is an overbooked mess, and Triple H gets the pin after using a sledgehammer on Double-J. CM Punk and Samoa Joe continue their history and have a pretty epic match together. Joe manages to lock in the Coquina Clutch and makes CM Punk submit at WrestleMania, something I'm sure Punk wouldn't mind doing for his buddy. Beer Money have gotten back together by this point and are representing TNA as its Tag Team Champions. They claim to be the best tag team in professional wrestling, which draws the ire of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Cody Rhodes & Goldust (who have won the belts back after Goldust returns from a bit of a hiatus). Beer Money, despite being faces in this situation as well, turn on Rhodes & Goldust by using a beer bottle, and they manage to walk away with two sets of belts. Paige has been going strong as the WWE Divas Champion, but she is challenged to Gail Kim to unify the belts. AJ Lee, who has been frustrated by her failure to win the Divas Title back from Paige, has led to her being a factor for concern in this match, despite her apparent loyalty to the WWE. Lee does make her presence felt during this match, but she actually does so as a face, preventing Kim from using heel tactics to dethrone Paige, allowing the Anti-Diva to win the Knockout Championship. AJ Lee justifies this by saying that Paige has earned her respect, and almost starting some psycho-sexual tension with Paige while she feuds with Gail Kim. Kane and Joseph Park both snap back into their monster modes for a Monster's Ball at WrestleMania. Bray Wyatt is added to the match, claiming to be a greater monster than any of them. Kane Chokeslams both Abyss and Wyatt onto thumbtacks at separate points during the match, but it is Wyatt who manages to take advantage of the situation and pins Abyss. I guess Sheamus can be in here too, because he will probably need to be somewhere on the card. The X-Division Championship is hung above a ladder and some of the best athletes from both companies compete for it. Rob Van Dam, Jeff Hardy, Austin Aries, Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, Chris Sabin, Kalisto and Sami Zayn seem like a good bunch. Doesn't really matter who wins, so let's go Austin Aries. Roman Reigns competes against Randy Orton in a grudge match. Orton defects from WWE when he has enough of The Authority's shit. Orton has also been promised a TNA Title shot down the line for signing with the promotion. Reigns, who is still WWE through-and-through, challenges Orton to a match. Reigns gets the clean pin and continues his ascension into the main event. |

This. Booked Punk vs. Angle in the last ill-fated Armchair Warfare, with Punk as the antagonistic heel telling Angle that he used to stand for something, he used to have three I's, but now it's more like three DUIs, etc.

During the Monday Night Wars you knew who the other promotions were, they'd be mentioned on TV even if it was just to take a pop at them, TNA doesn't even garner enough of a reaction to mock them so can't see it being a success unless it was Angle/Sting etc and even then it'd be hit and miss.

The ring fell in as everything around it burned. In the ring lye a pile of corpse, on top of it stood the one...the only the phenom...
In one had he dangled a human spine, it clang like a chain. On his other had sat a vulture, it was eating at something. Obviously some kind of human remains, there where tons of other vultures circling the area, waiting on there turn to feed as well. This man...this-this being...this phenom was none other than the Undertaker! Meanwhile... The man wore a black jacket, had long black hair, and white face paint. Tons of men in shirts with the letters N.W.O. going across them charged him. The man knocked all of them to the ground with a single punch. The men all rose and charged him again, suddenly the man pulled something from his jacket, a steal baseball bat. With one mighty swing all the men fell knocked out. The fans in the arena cheered at this. Suddenly the lights cut off, the whole arena is pitch black, after about fifteen seconds off darkness the lights cut back on. And the man is gone... Just something I'm trying. I wanna attempt to pit the pro wrestlers Undertaker and Sting against one another. Tell me what you think in the discussion thread. Um...a lot of fan fiction for Sting VS. Taker. |

The ship has sailed on taker v sting if it were going to happen this year sting would have signed already and a huge storyline in the works. If they are going to bring they should do it properly give him a few feuds ppvs maybe a title reign then culminate with the streak. I don't think stinger is in the business for a one off appearance and I don't think he has the stamina for a year long stint. He's in better shape than taker but both their glory days are behind them.
