Poll: Is Brock leaving to fight, or staying to wrestle?

With the Rumble wrapped and the main Wrestlemania set with Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns, what is your opinion on the future of Brock Lesnar? For months he has been heavily rumoured to leave WWE after his contract ends (April I believe) and head back into the octagon.

After the past two weeks Brock has been positioned undoubtedly as the top WWE Superstar and not only that but perhaps the strongest babyface on the roster.

Does Brock stay or go?

There is unfinished business in UFC for Brock. Big money fights like rematches with Overeem, Mir, and Dos Santos. As well as potential super fight with the returning Mirco Cro Cop. If all were to go well possibly championship fights against Werdum or Valezquez.

There is also still at least a year or more of fresh booking he can accomplish in WWE. We have yet to see programs with Orton, Bryan, Wyatt... I'm not sure if that is as compelling as what he can accomplish in UFC, what do you think?

What is left for him to do?

+ Has the title
+ Best booked talent in recent history
+ Has been made to look like and is an absolute BEAST in the ring
+ Always delivers great content (pile of blood, sweat & urine)

- Not a regular presence
- When he does lose, it will have to be a HELLUVA beating, nearly "UNBELIEVABLE"*

* I know we are used to our realism in wrasslin, but Lesnar has to lose somehow. Given the matches he has had and how much of a monster he has been made to portray, Reigns (or whoever) will need to have the performance of a lifetime.

Brock's gone after Mania. He's not interested in resigning while the WWE isn't willing to offer him anything close to what he's currently making.

Knowing the WWE, the only thing guaranteed would be more Cena vs Brock fights if he stayed.

legit question to you gents: if YOU were Brock what would you do? Is the appeal of being in a more "legit" world so driving that you would go back to it at age()? would you hang your hat on that you did it once and peaked so stay in safe environment? can UFC pay him more than vince? if you were in those shoes what would be deciding factors?

I am almost convinced WWE will panic at the 11th hour (2-3 weeks prior to WM) and basically give him a similar deal to what he has now for more money.

I think he's going, but wouldn't be surprised if WWE make him a massive offer to stay. With the work he's been doing lately I honestly think WWE would gladly trim the bottom 30% of the current active roster if it meant keeping Brock.

If Lesnar was smart, he'd stay in the WWE, but he'll likely go back to the UFC

If Lesnar was smart, he'd stay in the WWE, but he'll likely go back to the UFC

Storyline wise, the WWE has done a great job of re-building Lesnar as a near unbeatable monster. The WWE's decision to re-build Lesnar slowly was understandable, given Lesnar's performance against Overeem in 2011, but the WWE did a great job of slowly rebuilding him while telling the audience that Lesnar was pretty much 100% healthy again (i.e. when Lesnar fought Cena in 2014, they had mentioned that Lesnar wasn't 100% when he fought Cena in 2012).

Long story short- the WWE can now re-push Lesnar as a dominant monster, without having to consider his sub-par performanes against Valasquez and Overeem in the UFC.

However - if Lesnar goes back to the UFC and gets destroyed again.......which is what I think will happen unfortunately.........then I think his WWE opportunity goes out the window as well, as the WWE won't risk having Lesnar destroy their top stars again, since in an indirect way, it would make the WWE look weak.

If I was Brock Lesnar, I'd put aside my ego and stay in the WWE. Even now, I still think Lesnar can take the WWE to another level. As someone in his late 30's however, I can't Lesnar faring too well in the UFC after having had so much time off.

Badass tweener Lesnar opposing the Authority would be epic. Tweener Lesnar going up against a heel Seth Rollins in a feud would be the exact shot in the arm that the WWE needs.

I can see the WWE offering Brock truck-loads of money to stay. I'm not sure how Brock's body is holding up, but he achieved a lot in the UFC whilst he was there. Why did he leave in the first place? Would the appeal to go back be that strong?

I think the threat of going back to UFC (or to Bellator) is Brock's leverage to negotiate a new deal. I doubt Vince will want to pay him so much to do so little again; Dirtsheets already reported this rumour, so Brock has this card to play in order to secure a favourable deal.

I think there's huge money in a double turn at Mania with Lesnar eventually chasing into Mania 32. Have him somehow wwritten off tv only to bring him back at Summer Slam and build from there.
