HEELS! HEELS! HEELS!
pyroandballyhoo.com
I like what the WWE did tonight. With the exception of Ziggler and Reigns, all the heels went over, which should give RAW a much different look come tomorrow night. Looking back, maybe this was the psychology that WWE creative had in mind by not allowing the heels to get too much heat on the babies in the build leading up to SummerSlam, simply because there wasn’t going to be “pay-back” when it came to the good guys. And, in theory, I’m cool with that now, but in turn it did make the weeks leading up to the PPV more bland then exciting. As far as Ziggler and Reigns, with them being the only two babies to have their hands raised in victory—that achieved putting the spotlight squarely on them—which I felt was a very smart move. Both superstars have a white-hot future—and, that future is NOW. Hopefully in the weeks to come creative will give Ziggler some much needed time on the mic. Don’t agree with Rollins over Ambrose, but I get it. WWE creative is putting great effort in bringing Rollins up to the level of Dirty Dean, but, it’s just not there. At THIS POINT, Ambrose is ions ahead of the level that Rollins is at, and I think that creative just needs to roll with him. I’m all for swerves, LOVE EM’–you know that–and, on the surface the Nikki turn on her sister was great–however–regardless of what the story is tomorrow, it’s just going to be a hard pill to swalla that blood would turn on blood. But, let’s wait until RAW to see how it plays out. The Lesnar win was predictable to me, but needed to be done coming off his win over Taker at Mania. If Lesnar is going to be a part-time Champion it really doesn’t bother me, if WWE creative now puts the emphasis on the WWE Titles, and the story of who will be the next contender. There is much meat on that bone, if done correctly. All in all, nice PPV for the Fed. Bushels full or possibility going into RAW tomorrow night. KUDOS TO ALL! Creative and talent both worked hard and it payed off! http://www.tpwwforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=31 TNARICK™ "The Legend" & R.I.C.K. Seth Rollins beating Ambrose makes sense because Ambrose is more focused on getting payback on Seth than pinning his shoulders to the mat at this point. As a heel, Seth needs to keep winning in order to make his alignment with The Authority a beneficial one in kayfabe.

I agree with Noid on that. I just wanted to say that putting the title on Brock and having him destroy Cena like he did at SS makes me more intrigued now at the title scene. Who the f*** is going to beat Lesnar?? Whoever does will be an instant star, if not one already, and the fact that titles won't change as much bc Brock is a monster tickles my fancy.

Agreed with you on that Brock point, Johnny.
As far as heel victories go, I would have put Cesaro over Rob Van Dam too. At this point in time, RVD's default status should be to put over younger guys. He can't lose all the time or else it won't mean anything to beat him, granted, but Cesaro already holds victories over RVD and is a guy that arguably should be on the rise. |
