I'm still running XP
And I'm a tight arse and want to upgrade to Windows 7. Where would be the best place for me to find a good torrent or something?

You'd have to back up all your data, find all the disks for your programs, reformat your HDD to 7 and then reinstall everything. Or you could buy a new HDD and install 7 and use the XP drive as a secondary. Another consideration is whether or not Win7 will even run on your XP computer as some hardware is incompatible. |

What Matchbox meant was that there is no "upgrade" button. Semantics.

Just read that when Windows 8 launches this year, it will only be a $39.99 upgrade from XP/Vista/7 to it before Jan 1st. That might even make me go legitimate if I can get rid of fucking Metro.

At that price, I think I'll go legit. Heard good things about Windows 8.

The actual OS is great. The interface is the worst thing I have ever had the misfortune of using, mouse wise. Would be great with touch interface only.

Isn't there a way to go back to the old desktop, though? I thought I saw that in a video demo.

Kinda. Using a third party tool called ViStart makes it look like W7. Just gotta hope that Metro apps don't take off.
