If Asuka does challenge Charlotte at WrestleMania...
and beats her (which seems like a very likely thing whoever Asuka wrestles) and she gets stuck on SD for a year....what 'hot feuds' should Asuka have on SD?
Lana Tamina Sarah Logan Liv Morgan Ruby Riott Who would u book Asuka in feuds with (based on current roster of SD) |

I wouldnt put her in any feuds cause it would be slant eyes winning all the time.
The same thing people put Kleenex out of business over Roman with. |

Rather see Asuka vs Alexa with Alexa ending her streak.

Alexa vs Nia and Asuka vs Charlotte is definitely the way to go. The stories there practically write themselves.
As for what Asuka would do afterwards, well I've said for a while that Becky's main roster work doesnt even remotely compare to her stuff in NXT. Maybe a fued with Asuka would bring some of the old Becky. |

Actually wouldn't mind charlotte being the one to end the streak, especially at wrestlemania, but I have a feeling they're saving that accolade for Rhonda.

Lol, they've spent the last 2 years putting Charlotte & Alexa over the rest of the women's roster ad nauseum. It's been drilled into us that nobody else on either show can touch them, either taking the streak would just be kicking a dead horse now. I say give it to Ronda.

The better story would be Rousey beating the streak and dominate while Asuka gets built back up to triumph over her.

I'm calling Carmella cashing in and pinning Charlotte to win the belt while not ending the streak

Yeah, Asuka can't get a belt this early.... Always better to have her "lurking" in the background of the title picture.... Throw her into a few #1 contender multi-woman matches, but always have her lose without being involved in the decision....

That could work. If they don't kill off both characters beforehand.

They'll probably blow Rousey vs Asuka at a B PPV.

Natty, Charlotte, and Becky are probably the best options considering WWE likes to use Natty to help out newer stars and Charlotte & Becky are the most popular stars on Smackdown.
Rest of the division doesn't have the star power to make a feud believable or interesting. |

I think Ronda Rousey puts an unfortunate twist into any long term plans. Lets face it, Ronda Rousey is going to suck in the ring; she is a name and a UFC/Hollywood star but there is no way she can wrestle to the level of women's wrestler that we are used to now. However, they are going to want to make her the face of the division because of her star stature.
Ideally, I would like Asuka versus Alexa Bliss with Asuka winning; then retaining her belt all year undefeated. On the other side, Charlotte beats any and every challenger all year too. Then these two meet up NEXT YEAR at WrestleMania. |

Why don't you think Rousey will be good in the ring?

I'm pretty worried she's still at Lawrence Taylor level too. I wouldn't be if this was just a one off, but after seeing that.....was it a Samoan drop? Yeah...

I hope that this isn’t the case. I don’t think Ronda (no ‘h’ by the way) going over Asuka would be very well received by the fans. In fact, I will go on record as saying that Ronda will not do very well as a face....at least initially. I think it would be far better if she was pushed as a heel. I think a female face eventually going over a heel Ronda would do far more for said face’s career. Ronda should basically be the Brock Lesnar of the women’s division in my opinion....once she learns the WWE style of wrestling. While she is learning to wrestle however, I wouldn’t mind seeing Ronda being a heel bodyguard for either The Authority or a top heel male wrestler. As far as a heel turn goes, I’d actually start this as early as WrestleMania. Have Ronda screw Angle and join up with Triple H and Stephanie.

This is the problem with the women's divisions. The divisions aren't deep enough, nor do they have the heavyweight players to mix it up with other heavyweight players. Asuka will have to be selling for Carmella. It's not the biggest problem they have -- Asuka vs. Ronda is still going to get them relative attention and feel like a big women's match -- but it's a problem when it comes to maintaining interest in those acts throughout the year.

I'll continue to believe that combining the women's division and making it a brand exclusive division would only be a benefit. You get a much deeper roster to work with and can keep matches a feuds fresh. I also believe the same would benefit the tag division.

The problem is that they want this gentrified approach to their shows. Can you imagine a SmackDown without tag team matches or women's matches? They want that "style" represented on every show. A similar solution, but more in line with their philosophy, would be to have one floating champion between both shows.

Asuka Charlotte Sasha Those are the only women on the main roster that can put out great work on a consistent basis. You can throw in Ember Moon and Kairi Sane if you want to include NXT, but that's still only 5. That said, I'm not too worried about it. It may not be ideal at the moment, but like I said, the rest of the women are at least okay to very good. Alliyah on NXT is the only one that comes to mind, that is just flat out the drizzling shits. Not only that, but unlike the diva search era, it seems like most of the women here are passionate about wrestling, and truly want to be the best. So it's not hard to imagine that many of these women still working to improve right now will be standing on the same level as your charlottes and asukas in a couple years. I mean charlotte herself was fucking terrible only a few years ago. I think she was actually worse than Alliyah is now. Even though Alexa and Nia aren't on their smackdown counterparts' level, I'm still looking forward to their match. They've improved to the point where I enjoy their matches and they'll definitely be trying to put on a better match than they ever have before. |

I think Ronda has a better foundation to be "good" than anybody else they have training ATM - barring somebody like Asuka, who was a pro for 10+years before she made it to NXT. Brock and Kurt Angle came from comperable backgrounds, training in a combat sport from when they were kids, and both were on their way to being great within 6 months of pro wrestling training. I'm not saying "Ronda right now = Brock + Kurt" by any stretch at all - just that the building blocks are there.
