Question Is Fallon Fox Any Good?
So, I've known about Fallon Fox for a couple of months now and I've tried to look her up online because I'm curious if she's any good or if she's popular etc. Predictably, any search, video or discussion is about her being transgender. Admitedly, her being trans is how I found out about her but I'm not interested in that.

I saw an interview with one of her opponents. The opponent was saying how unfair it was fighting Fallon because Fallon has "an advantage" over the other women. This was the opponents victory interview after having beaten Fallon. Fallon Fox has such an advantage that she lost to her opponent? Makes sense .
Apply that to any other sport and you see how ridiculous that sounds. If 1st place in a motor race said 2nd place shouldn't be allowed to race because his cars too fast. The fact the person calling it unfair just beat the person in question proves that it is fair.

So, MMA fans, is she any good? I saw a clip of her fight but, as I'm not a fan of MMA, I've no way to gauge what I saw.

From the little I've seen, she looks average. I am an outsider so I could be totally wrong and she's actually fantastically good or terribly bad.

"She" was a grown man when she made the change. 20+ years of natural testosterone cant be reverse with a few years of hormone treatment. She shouldn't be allowed to fight females IMO.

this is retarded. like i understand that this topic is very personal to you, but this comparison is retarded. car racing depends on money to produce/maintain vehicles. that can be changed and fluctuate.

she definitely has an advantage, biologically. that isn't going to change. sure she lost, probably because she lacks skill, but it doesn't change the fact that she has the advantage. she just doesn't take advantage of it.

she will never be in the UFC and will forever be a 'sideshow', which sounds kinda shitty, but is true.

Being on hormones and being post-op, she would be equal to the other female competitors in terms of strength because her testosterone level and muscle mass aren't equal to that of a man.
Testosterone comes from the balls, ovaries and adrenal glands. Fox hasn't got male genitals or ovaries. She'd actually have less testosterone than her opponents.

If you ever type about a trans female in the future, it's probably best to leave out the quotes. It can come across as insensitive.

I was trying to think of something where there are classes of competition. Limits to how big/small, fast/slow etc you could be for fair competition. All I could think of at the time was racing.

Being as unfamiliar with MMA as I am, I assumed she was involved with UFC because I don't know of any other company that televises MMA.

You're probably right about the "sideshow" thing, which sucks. People should probably get over the "OMG, trans!" thing, though. Trans people have been around throughout history and are no more uncommon or unusual than any other strand of society.

Its offensive to me that a man wants to fight women and get paid for it.

And no, 20+ years of growth and development with testoterone can't be removed. Sure she isn't currently making testoterone, but she did for 95% of her life.

You seem to be getting pretty worked up about this.

The Joe Rogen video is interesting. 1 second in and we've already got the word "tranny". Excellent. The guy in the hat that looks like someones gardener is constantly referring to Fox as a he. Aside from that stuff, what they said about the whole trans thing is complete nonsense. No one transitions "for a little while" or "just for attention". Also, you don't get your dick chopped off. There's just too much stuff in that video for me to point out, really.

I do have a question. If Fox should fight guys because she used to be a guy etc. What would you do with this guy?

Born female, now a male. He's not at his best here but there are other images in which he looks huge. If he was in good shape and said he was taking up MMA, would you have him fight men or women? He's big, he's strong but he's had 20+ years without testosterone, the opposite of Fox who had 20+ years with testosterone. If Fox should fight men because she used to be a man, should this big bearded guy fight women because he used to be a woman? Surely he'd be at an advantage against the women because he has testosterone levels and muscle equal to that of other men but you can't have him fight other guys because he used to be a woman and, according to so many MMA fans, he'd still be considered a woman and we can't have man vs woman fights.
You can't deny him because it's discriminatory and you can't have a trans league because he's the only trans man interested. What do you do?

Transgenders shouldn't be allowed to participate in sanctioned non mixed sports. Which is why Fox only fights in no sanctioned "Indian Reservation" MMA fights.

Yes Brian Redban and Rogan might not know alot about this subject but it's pretty obvious you don't know alot about combat sports. It's funny to me that you came in here looking for a specific answer and are now grasping at straws to try to prove your point because you didn't get the answer you are looking for.

So, in yr opinion, Dwight Howard should be able to change sexes and then compete in the WNBA?

He would have a huge advantage and regardless of what you say, you won't change my, or the governing body's, minds. People have the right to live how they want but there are rule in the real world and to think those rules should be changed to accommodate one person is ludicrous and selfish. If she wanted to complete in legitimate MMA then she should have stayed a he.
