I got the volume 3 DVD today, and it only says Volume 3, doesn't say that its the 4th season. The DVD set goes all the way up to the Jungle Love episode where Chris leaves the country. It also came with a sheet that said Volume 4would be available spring 2006.

Which episode has the flashback where Jesus is shown doing those slight of hand tricks with in front of the crowd?

The best "jesus" use was DEFNITALY for the episode were stewie has his first Bday party...and peter says "this party wouldnt be any better if jesus himself was here" and it cuts to jesus at a party and he says "for my next miracle, im gonna turn this water into FUNK!" and he makes the room turn 70s ish with discoe balls and there all dressed up like the 70s.
I was SKY high on mushrooms and saw that episode...oh man...i still wonder how long i was REALLY laughing for. |

best jesus joke was in Brian the Batchelor I believe. Guy on the show: "Oh, can I just say hi to a friend of mine?" announcer: "ok." Guy on the show: "HEY JESUS!!!" *Cuts to Jesus's appartment* *phone rings* Jesus: "Hello?" *listens to guy on the other line* Jesus: "Yeah I know! I heard it too!" OK, that may have not come out 2 well, but it is fucking hilarious, probably the 2nd best joke ever on family guy behind... *peter on the phone to Lois* Peter: "Ah Lois, I'm stuck at the office, so I won't be able to take the rubbish out." Lois: "But caller ID says you're in the kitchen, in fact, I can see you!" Peter: "Oh....can you see me now?" Lois: "No" Peter: "Ok, well, now I'm at the office" |

So does Family Guy still suck
I watched like the first 5-10 episodes when it came back and was thoroughly dissapointed, but I watched reruns of some Season 4 eps recently and they were pretty good. Not like ROFL funny like Season 2-3 but worth watching. So what's the deal, did it get better or should I stick to Home Movies?

I wouldn't say it sucks. Infact, I'd say it's the greatest show on TV nowadays. Look what Family Guy did to the Simpsons. The Simpsons is just terrible now because Family Guy stole their edge.

I haven't really watched it in months... the whole "Hey this is like that time I ____________" *cuts to irrelevent scene* thing can only be done so many times before getting boring

Yeah it seemed like a parody of itself or something. A couple of the episodes were "bangers" though.

The Simpsons didn't start really going downhill until Season 11. Towards the end of Mike Scully's run as Executive Producer in Seasons 12-13, it started becoming forced and horrible. The return of Al Jean in Season 14 kinda got it back on track, to like season 2 good (which is okay), but the latest stuff I've seen (for the most part, with some glaring exceptions) has sorta been on par with Seasons 9/10.
Besides, that's still 11 or 12 years it took before the show was disappointing. Family Guy had a great first couple of seasons, but Season 4 was kinda... forced, as someone else said. :\ |

The latest series have lacked the zip of season 2-3 but its still funnier than most stuff on tv.

Just got the season 4 dvd over here in England and while it is good its not as good as it used to be. Maybe that South Park episode influenced me :-/

it can still be really funny at times...but i do agree newer episodes feel very forced...i still find myself laughing though...except one episode...the one where they get stuck in the panic room in the attic and Peter tells everyone the family history...I didnt laugh once in that episode and i consider that to be the worst FG episode ever.
