Just saw 50 First Dates...
I went during the day and the electricity went out about an hour into the movie. They marked my ticket so I could come back later. So I came back that night and they didn't even take my ticket or anything. So I'm just gonna be going to the movies for free for a while until they take it or something.
Anyways, the movie was great. It was a bit different than Adam's usual movies. It was funny but it was actually well made too. The ending was good and the entire cast did a great job. Sandler and Barrymore = Gold! I'm off now to give it a 9/10 on IMDB. |

Adam Sandler screams, falls in love with some chick, probably gets hit in the nuts at one point, and Rob Schnider has a bit role. Yeah, that sounds original.

You thought it was good? Really? I thought it looked like he was just trying to take all the funny shit from his other movies and use it over again...like the penguin and the kids doing the Happy Gilmore teeoffs and stuff

The only thing that Adam Sandler did in 50 First Dates that made me laugh was when he cried. That old hawaiian dude who called him a "shithead" was pretty funny though. |

Who other than Stima actually SAW the movie? Read Roger Ebert's review for a good summary of why it was good. It had the usual Adam Sandler humor to it and in the end actually had a really good story to go along with it. I was dreading a predictable ending but was happy when it didn't go the way I was afraid it would. It's much more of a romantic comedy than a "Adam Sandler falls in love and crazy stuff happens." movie.
Then again, anyone taking Stima's thoughts on the movie seriously should know that he makes fun of the Red Sox at one point. Maybe a little bitterness? |

Well if you weren't expecting Adam Sandler humor, then you should have never been interested in it to begin with really.
Anyways, it's 6.9 on IMDB right now making it Adam Sandler's 2nd highest rated movie next to PDL. I thought the previews looked bad too. Then a friend of mine who is a film student said everyone in his class said it was good. I wish someone else who has seen it would come and back me up on this cause it's a losing battle if you've only seen the previews. |

Wasnt the typical adam sandler movie by any means, had its moment. The penguin was the man. And he does get hit in the nuts kinda, when he jumps on the jetski

Alright enough with the Rob Schneider bashing! The greatness that was Deuce Bigelow cancels out the awfulness of The Animal and The Hot Chick.

Saw it last night, it was okay I guess.. the only part I actually laughed at was the old man asking for the paper so he could wipe his ass. I wanted my money back.

Adam Sandler shoulda stopped after Billy and Happy. Though Anger Management was pretty good aside from the ending.

I thought the movie was alright. It was kinda depressing though because she will never get her memory back.
It had some good moments though. |

Just watched it, I thought it was a pretty good movie, nothing brilliant but definitely worth a watch, especially if your an Adam Sandler fan.
I don't know why, but I laughed my ass off when Rob Schneider character fell through the ships deck and said "You got a cat? 'cos I can feel something licking me!" did anybody else? Does anybody else think that the song Heaven From Here by Robbie Williams would of fitted this movie perfectly? |
